Leonardo DiCaprio fights 'carbon monster' in new eco-documentary

Seems the Wolf of Wall Street has a few economic ideas for halting climate change. In a new documentary called “Carbon,” released online Wednesday, narrator Leonardo DiCaprio contends that trillions of dollars’ worth of fossil fuels are awaiting commercial extraction from the ground — and that if we burn them, our planet is toast.

Clocking in at under nine minutes, the short doesn't mince words: DiCaprio and climate scientists argue that coal, natural gas and other carbon-based forms of energy are a "monster" that has created catastrophic surges in the earth’s surface temperature. In response, some lawmakers around the world are tinkering with ways to make carbon more expensive, and sustainable forms of energy — such as wind power — cheap.

Hey Leo,

The Japanese already tackled the subject in the 1971 movie Godzilla vs The Smog Monster. Godzilla won, Smoggy was defeated, it was a work of fiction, and so is your documentary.

It sounds more like a mockumentary.
It mocks Science, common sense and civilization.

DiCaprio is a fairly good actor. He should stick to what he knows. He has the misguided zeal of a jihadist and the IQ of a wet washcloth when it comes to AGW.

Don't they teach Science in school anymore?!?!

DiCaprio plumbs the depths of ignorance and then digs down another 250 yards.

* Celebrities - Is there anything they don’t know? *

Pick anyone in an insane asylum and they will know 500 times more than the average celebrity.

Actually not a bad actor, depending on the director. He might have taken a cue from the “money” line of his “Aviator” character in dressing down Hepburn’s family.

Leo was pretty good as Arnie the retard in "Gilbert Grape."
He's a natural.

A lousy performance in the great film Gangs Of NY, with great performances by Day-Leeis and Neeson. A lousy performance in the mediocre film The Aviator. A lousy, (and confusing) performance in the mediocre The Departed with a fine performance by Nicholson. I couldn’t tell who was who between DeCaprio and the other ‘male Ingenue ‘. I wonder sometimes what’s Martin Scorsese’s deal a great director with some lousy taste in some of his actors. Maybe he’s a turd burglar.

Considering Hollywood is the second largest polluter in California, I presume they are SHUTTING IT DOWN PERMANENTLY right.
