Ferguson 'day of rage' at White House (Tomorrow, Aug. 21st in D.C. and 40 other cities)

Protesters are expected to gather Thursday evening at the White House as part of a national “Day of Rage” over the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black teen earlier this month in Missouri.

The planned rally is among dozens around the nation organized by the group Anonymous, which is demanding the “immediate arrest and prosecution” of officer Darren Wilson. Wilson has been identified as the officer who shot 18-year-old Michael Brown on Aug. 9, touching off violent protests in the streets of Ferguson, Mo.

“We call upon the citizens of the United States to collectively gather in support for those who are suffering in Ferguson,” a voice claiming to represent Anonymous says in a video posted to YouTube. “We must indeed all hang together as one nation or most assuredly we will all hang separately.”

The rally is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m., according to a list of protests in more than 40 major cities around the country.

Officials from the U.S. Park Police, the U.S. Secret Service and the D.C. Metropolitan Police told The Hill Wednesday that they were aware of the planned rally.

It was unclear whether a special detail had been assigned to monitor the area surrounding Lafayette Park, adjacent to the White House, though U.S. Park Police Sgt. Lelani Woods said authorities would be prepared in the event that protesters turn out in large numbers.

As of Wednesday afternoon, at least one major K Street law firm had alerted its employees to the potential traffic snarls and safety concerns.

It’s all part of Obama’s broken window economic theory.

"Good to know. Think I’ll up-gun from the P-32 to the Glock 19 tomorrow."

My line of thinking also - carry extra ammo - in case I get stuck behind enemy lines.

I wonder if they’ll call in sick or just take a personal day. :-)

What needs to be done is for the Ferguson PD to release the photos, x-rays, medical report of the officer’s injuries, the alleged recant by Dorian Johnson, the Brown Shooting Incident Report, and any cell phone video from the witnesses at the scene to the MSM and have it on the NEWS while these protests are going on.

I realize there are probably legal reasons (and behind the scenes power plays) that keep those things from being released, but I CAN DREAM, can’t I ?

I read an article in the Baltimore paper from Jan ‘14 that Occupy was pretty much DOA in a lot of cities. To quote,

“Occupy Los Angeles weathered this opposition no better than its sister movements. It was a sudden, passionate explosion of social consciousness that managed the distinctly Californian stunt to both burn out and fade away.

They have found a new cause, again, at the expense of others.

on the notice for Oakland, CA. “Occupy” prominently headlines the event; another name on their graphic (not linked here) is ‘Ferguson Support Committee’ (which is probably just an Occupy cover but I guess they think it sounds better than just one sponsor).

Those who are suffering in Ferguson are the businesses being looted and burned, the good law abiding residents who can’t go about their day for all the protestors, the local officers who are pulling long shifts and having their lives threatened, the rest of the country because of those stirring up this mess and Officer Wilson.

Yeah my spidey senses tell me that these morons don’t work..their version of work is waking up in the morning of their mother’s basements, going to the mailbox and seeing if their welfare check arrived

Snopes (yeah, I know) has a list of cities with times and locations. Please have your family and friends avoid these areas.

My suggestion is to scale the Hut fence and go inside. Nothing will happen to them...

The truth is that we, the people who know that this cop is being persecuted, along with every other law abiding citizen, are actually allowing this to happen.

All of us sit at home outraged, but we never get out there and fight back. I am as guilty as the rest. I guess we figure the truth will come out. It may come out, but it won’t be reported and it won’t matter. It will be covered up like every other criminal act of Obama/Holder.

This guy is going to be a human sacrifice to the criminals of the left. Gawd, what a damn shame.

It all makes me sick to my stomach.
