Autopsy question
vanity

Posted on 08/18/2014 5:36:00 PM PDT by airedale

I have a question about the autopsy info we currently know. Based upon where the bullets hit Brown is there any way to tell which way he would most probably fall if 1. if standing up facing officer with hands up 2. Kneeling hands up or at sides facing officer 3. Bum rising the officer with head down. The bullet that hit top of head would have killed him instantly

My own guess to the most probable body position because of the impact of the bullets are 1. On back or side with indications of falling backwards 2. Same as number 1 with higher probability of landing on side. 3. Face down with maybe one leg bent as if running. Momentum because of the forward motion would have overcome the impact of the bullet. Blood trail beyond initial splatter would trail behind if the person had some speed when shot because even though dead after head shot the body would have continued forward.

I'm not a hunter, police or M.E. so I haven't the slightest idea. I also suspect that no matter what the starting position when shot there is some probability of landing in any position just some body positions are more probable than others

He had abrasions on his face which would suggest to me he fell on it. I mentioned in another thread that depending on the severity of this road rash you would be able to tell if and how fast he was moving.

Yes.

Most shots hit his right arm and shoulder.

Fatal shot was high on forehead, which indicates to me he was falling toward the officer from the prior head shot.

So, he fell on his face.

The general rule of thumb is you fall in the direction you are moving. But, really, it depends on the round that hit you (caliber, weight of the bullet, FPS at impact, etc.).

I don’t think I ever heard what Brown was shot with. If a 9MM, he likely fell in the direction he was moving (i.e, forward).

If he’s running forward toward the officer he’s going to fall forward.

It was the shooter on the grassy knoll that fired the magic bullet.

I think he had head down in a charge position.

unless he was raising up and attempting to grab his injured arm.

Autopsy results are immaterial.

Obama and his Attorney General will simply order more autopsies until they get one that tells them what they want to hear - i.e., that the young Angel of Propriety was ‘gunned down’ by a corrupt policeman.

No matter what happens, the officer is scr*wed.

You never know. Videos are surfacing all the time. It might yet happen that a video of the actual incident shows up. That would settle things pretty well.

True but its not dramatic like the movies. After all, recoil is the equal and opposite reaction with variables depending on the weight of the gun etc. The projectile is more or less the same force as what the shooter feels but its a much smaller point of contact than the grip or butt of a gun.

Not if Holder gets his hands on it first. I suspect there's a ton of evidence we will never hear.

the JustUs Dept was po'd that thay couldn't stop the convenience store video from seeing the light of day

"I think he had head down in a charge position."

I think it more likely that the effect of the initial shots finally caused him to fall forward, and that the final shot - the fatal head shot - hit him as he was falling towards the officer, hence its entry point at the top of the head.

It’s dramatic if it is a CNS hit, in which case the person shot collapses like a rag doll.

Yes. Just discussed this with my brother and he agrees. He does is a gun smith and does velocity and impact studies. He agrees with you.

My WAG is that the recoil of the pistol would have the initial shots low on the right arm and moving up and to the right as subsequent rounds were fired. The initial shots might have cause Mr. Brown to rotate to the left and down.

(There are reports that the officer had significant facial wounds from being punched which would have affected his aim and prompted multiple shots.)

It would be poetically just if the phone that would deliver that video was one of the ‘bama phones on the street.

Brown's 6'4" 292 frame would be an important factor. Bullet's not going to knock him backwards as easy as someone small.
