I'm gonna bet the Dems withdraw this suit to avoid the backlash.

This is not a civil lawsuit, it is a criminal indictment reported out by a grand jury. A judge can dismiss the charges, which is the most likely outcome, once the parties appear at a hearing.

If only she were a happy drunk.
The belligerent ones end up in sober seat.

Correct. She is in that chair for a very good reason - she is mean when on the sauce.

Perhaps someone told them this would galvanize a lot of support for Gov. Perry.....hard to imagine them not acting like spoiled 3 year olds though.

She kept saying that she wasn’t drunk while acting like a fool the whole time. If she were truly sober, she would have kept her mouth shut the whole time and asked only to speak with her lawyer.

IIRC it is the female successor to Ronnie Earl so this is coming out of the DA cesspool in Austin. I bet the leftist scum in that city re-elect the corrupt broad in a landslide.

They are saving the charging of him for when/if he becomes the GoP candidate in 2016.

Actually, the judge in the case made the determination not to issue an arrest warrant. He will issue a summons instead. This means that Perry still gets his day in court, but doesn't have to be booked and get a mug shot done. Dems all over Texas are in mourning.

The court date will be arranged between the judge and Perry's attorney. I'm sure Perry's attorney will be pushing to get an early date so he can request to have the charges thrown out quickly.

The Dems now have three Republican candidates under Federal investigation, under indictment or some kind of big time farce criminal wrongdoing. Christy - Perry - Walker. Now when are the Repubs going to do something for our side?

The prosecutor who sought the indictment should be IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM OFFICE FOR ABUSE OF HIS OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, they used a special prosecutor, a defense attorney from Bexar County (San Antonio). So he doesn't really have an office from which he can be removed.

What is interesting is that this special prosecutor, Mike McCrum, has his own ethics problems. In January, he was accused of telling a witness against his client to "get lost for a while" so that the witness would be unavailable to testify. He was charged with contempt of court, but got out of it over a statute of limitations issue.

In the dumb-o-crats eyes when you do something they don’t like, doing you job, they want to sue you. In the end they look so stupid it’s hard to explain.
