The one thing this does tell us is that the demoncraps see Perry as a threat in 2016.

**************

That for sure is one possibility. But another is that this is an Austin Texas squabble
between differing factions, namely the governor and the Travis county DA. At this
juncture I tend to think it is a local fight.

This is going to be the future of politics-every Republican or conservative that poses a credible threat to a Democrat will be indicted or investigated.

And Sarah Palin will laugh and say "Welcome to MY world!"

Yep...I think he needs to call MADD. Heck, they make the most radical organization seem tame.

If you buy 23 gallons of vodka, and you don't operate a bar or restaurant, I think there is a good chance you have a problem.

If it was scotch I would guess that she was having a couple Kennedys drop by. But then that is, by definition, a problem.

"I tend to think it is a local fight"

Its about Tom Delay.

Let's review: Delay was convicted and appealed. The 3rd court of appeals overturned the conviction last Sept. Lehmberg appealed to the State Court of Appeals, which is the highest criminal court in Texas. They agreed to hear the case last spring.

After Lehmbert's "episode", Perry saw the chance to save Delay. He first threatened to veto the entire funding to public corruption unit. Then Perry met with Lehmberg and told her if she would resign, he would find another job for her, which would allow him to appoint her replacement, who would squash the Delay prosecution.

She refused that deal, so Perry vetoed/cut funding for the entire public corruption unit trying undermine the prosecution, but the county came up with some funding to keep it going.

Indeed - “The Moderate Voice” is an ultra-liberal publication.

When you resort to ad hominen attacks, that means you have lost the argument.

There is not doubt that the campaign money was laundered. The men who worked for Delay pled guilty and were convicted.

Delay's defense is/was that he had nothing to do with it, didn't know about it, these other men did it. Nobody believes that.

But, it is possible that since his fingerprints are not on the deal, he could walk.
