Hacktivist Group Anonymous Steps up Threats Against Coeur d'Alene Police Department Over Fatal Dog Shooting

The Internet activist group Anonymous is stepping up its threats against the Coeur d'Alene Police Department, demanding a full investigation of the shooting of a 2-year-old black Lab named Arfee by an officer.

In a video released Aug. 9, Anonymous accused the department of not adequately investigating the shooting, which took place in the parking lot of a coffee shop July 9. According to reports, the officer fired on the dog after he allegedly lunged from the window of a parked vehicle.

"To the Coeur d'Alene Police Department: You have been put on notice," states a garbled voice on the video, after announcing that "phase two of Justice for Arfee" has launched.

"Complete docs [personal data] of those immediately involved will be compiled and our lasers will be prepared to target all relevant websites," the voice says.

The police officer who killed this dog claimed that it was "a vicious pit bull."

Sadly, some FReepers will care more about this dog than about the dead 18 year old in Ferguson, Missouri.

Anonymous is not neglecting him, either. Look what I found in Google's wastebasket. Twitter has suspended the account. FU Twitter!

“I’ve been startled by dogs in cars with the windows partially rolled down when walking by.”

Heh, heh...

I used to have a GSD that LOVED to scare people that got near the back of my truck. I had a small Mazda pickup with a topper, and he rode in the back in a dog crate. His favorite thing to do: when parked at the gas station and I was inside paying (long before pay-at-the-pump) he would quietly wait until some unsuspecting customer would walk with 10 feet of the back of the truck, and then go nuts barking. The little truck would bounce around, along with the crate, and when I came out I could see him barking and “smiling” away, totally enjoying himself... And the poor victim slowly backing away from the truck, pale, waiting for the hammer to drop. I would just say “knock it off!” in a low voice, and he would go back to waiting for another victim.

Nowadays, I guess he would be a candidate for a shooting...

On facebook there was a poster going around with every breed you can imagine being labeled a pit bull.

IMO it’s about time this started happening to trigger happy dog killing cops. If they knew their information is going to end up all over the web maybe they’ll keep their weapons holstered.

They don’t care about our wives and kids so there’s no reason we should care about theirs.

I think the second one from the left of the top row comes the closest to the expression that was probably in the eyes of Arfee. That’s about the expression I usually associate with the gentleness of the labrador breed...soft, like a kitten.

My theory of connection of the two cop shootings is that the cops all now claim that their “training” requires them to shoot dogs who bark in their general direction and the cops are transferring this training to peeps who “bark” (”diss”) at them too.

My understanding is that the officer reported the dog lunged at him through the driver’s side window, which is the one shown in the picture with the bullet hole in the glass.

Then he is CLEARLY 'tarded/guilty.

Not that this thread has anything to do with Iraq (there are certainly many threads on FR that do, and you might want to check them out), but your comment is 100% inaccurate.

Google is your friend. :-)

The list of entities fighting the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) in Iraq just got a virtual addition. In a YouTube video message, an Anonymous splinter group called The Anonymous Message sets out the reasoning behind "Operation NO2ISIS," a hacking campaign targeting the cyber infrastructure of states sponsoring IS militants.

“The Iraqi people have gone through almost two weeks of sheer terror most of us will never know nor experience,” said the usual Guy Fawkes-mask wearing graphic in an automated audio voice. “These savages who have no religion or morality are bent on burning everything in their path, killing and pillaging as they go. They must be stopped.”

Besides alleging that Al-Jazeera is a supporter of IS, claiming the Middle East media outfit tarnished its “reputation by spewing your lies and your treasonous support to ISIS” and who "will not escape us," Anonymous singles out three states for their alleged backing of the Islamic extremist group.

“To the state of Qatar, Turkey, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; you will not escape our wrath. Evidence shows your continued support and supply to ISIS. If this does not promptly stop, we will be forced to unleash our entire legion against your pathetic excuse of a cyber-security,” said the message.

I don’t have enough information on the Ferguson kid to have an accurate opinion yet, I will await further information.
