Ron Paul, and the idiocy of Libertarianism, is a joke.

Ron Paul is very strong on a few issues....abolishing the Federal Reserve and cutting down federal over-reach. He doesn't seem to have sacrificed these issues for political expediency.

Rand Paul's making me nervous. The way to build a majority is to inspire people to embrace your views. "Sleeping with the Enemy" only serves to corrupt politicians. Has Rand Paul said or done anything to stop the Federal Reserve from destroying the US?Actions speak louder than words.

Summary...Rand Paul was top-guy with his passionate anti-drone pro-privacy speech. We hoped he had embraced the positive messages of what Ron Paul believes in. Since then, Rand seems to be playin' the game. What a shame.

You need to pay attention to what is going on.

Paul has a very good political reason for leaving Iowa and going to the Hamptons.

The war between Rand Paul and the NeoCon GOP hawks began well over a year ago when the NeoCons published that story about Paul's aide Jack Hunter being the "Southern Avenger" and a NeoConfedererate racist, which by association means Paul is a racist. Rand Paul responded to that attack by attacking Liz Cheney, and they have been taking pot shots at each other since. This is why Hillary hired the prominent NeoCon Fred Kagan as a political advisor and attacked Obama over Syria.

BTW, I'm not a PaulBot. I have no libertarian leanings nor am I an isolationist. I don't even like to look at Rand Paul because I have contempt for men who "perm" their hair.

When one is sworn in as a Congressman, the new oath is, “Resistance is futile”.

Maybe this is how the Borg started in the Star Trek universe.

You say Paul is "sleeping with the enemy" but he is trying to build a new coalition.

Can you not agree that the GOP coalition is split so badly that it probably cannot re-unify. Conservatives vs Rinos. Teaparty vs GOPe. Social liberal republicans who support amnesty, homo marriage, and abortion versus the Moral Majority

You have the same problem in the dem party. The leftwingers detest Obama. Mondale democrat Elizabeth Warren wants a piece of DLC democrat Hillary.

Let me tell you, John McCain truly loves Hillary Clinton

>> Bob Vander Platts and his little band are a joke. <<

Not to defend Crazy Ron’s boy Rand, but let’s consider the following:

Assume I’m Bob Vander Platts, and I want to gain publicity for my little band. So I study Rand Paul’s schedule and find a date when he’s appearing at some “questionable” venue — questionable, that is, from the viewpoint of your typical Iowa GOP primary voter. Also, this venue should be a happening that has the potential for some big-bucks donations to Paul.

Then I schedule my own event for the same date/time and invite Rand to speak, while politely mentioning to his handlers that my group is primarily composed of middle- and lower-income evangelicals, without any big-bucks members.

Rand’s handlers will, of course, decline to accept my invitation, and I now can generate a publicity bonanza that big bucks could never buy!

I'll repeat. Where is Rand Paul about the Federal Reserve? Why has he supported extreme RINOs and their tactics? I'm trying to like Rand Raul, but I'll repeat that now is not the time to be coalition-building. Now is the time to have a strong message that wins people over.

It's not just Rand Paul. The sounds of silence have been deafening from all the constitutional conservatives...about actually doing something to send the invaders home, about our moral obligation to blow ISIS off the planet and saving the victims of genocide in a timely matter, about some kind of inspiring statement showing leadership and wisdom about the Missouri situtation.

The one who comes closest is Jeff Sessions.

I’d like to thank you both for all you did to give us Obama. Your work is exemplary of the kind of contribution we can expect from those who suffer from cerebrorectalopathy . Thanks again. BTW,Michelle was just a plus.

That is so brain dead and stupid, and ignorant, and illogical and such a non-sequitur as to be beneath response. You win butt dumbest post of the month award….I mean seriously, I'd be ashamed to have such infantile rubbish with my name on it.

I know exactly what is going on - and while you have a tiny point in the micro, you are missing the macro. Karl Rove is big on the micro. Ronald Reagan, Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, etc, focus on the macro.

It was those that supported liberal republicans that did Obama's work, and got him elected.

You certainly are a staunch republican.

No so much of a conservative, though.

And regardless of what you say, Mitt didn't even match his own party platform on abortion, amnesty, gun control, socialized medicine, and big government. His actions proved that, regardless of what his mouth said.

I fully understand your idiotic position; I have zero respect for it. Create any rationalization you like, what you did put us where we are. Thanks, I hope you are enjoying the death throes of the republic. You’re one of the ones to blame.

Sure you had help from the RINOs who chose Romney over others in free, fair and open primaries. He’s what we got. Rather than deal with the situation, you (And too many others) sat it out and allowed an openly Marxist to take the office. Smooth move, ace.

You speak of particular issues which I'm not here to comment on. It is a possibility that Rand Paul doesn't see you as part of your coalition. Or you may not see Rand Paul as someone you would support.

As for Jeff Sessions, I didn't know he was running.

To be honest with you, I don't see how an individual like you, I, or anyone else could expect to find a candidate to agree with on every single issue. Who is the least worst?

Then you have to look at the way the GOP nominates their candidate. It could be that your state is way down the list of primaries and the candidate is already chosen before you get a chance to "choose".

Rand Paul is a Graham, McCain McConnell wanna be. He denies it, of course, but if you watch closely, as I have been, it is getting more evident every day. I do not trust this guy ONE BIT! He is a liar. He talks out of both sides of his mouth. He just hopes people don’t see the duplicity, and many refuse to, but I would have a VERY HARD TIME voting for him if he were our 2016 presidential candidate.

That’s the way it is for the largest Republican state, Texas. We have no say as to who the nominee is.

cut your straw argument crap please. No one but YOU is saying anything about perfection. Paul is no conservative, and he’s no libertarian either. He’s just a mushy intellectually bankrupt politician riding that paul bot wave. It’s cultic, like Obama’s was….and less ideologically coherent.
