The dust has barely settled since Sen. Lamar Alexander beat back a strong challenge from Joe Carr in Tennessees Republican primary. Yet here he is, once again, talking up the need for a comprehensive immigration reform bill. In other words, amnesty.
Via Breitbart.com:
I dont know how it will affect our politics in the near term, Alexander told Politico of a comprehensive immigration bill. I think its embarrassing for us not to deal with the problem, and I think we should do it in the next two years.
And though Alexander claimed that he won the primary because he did not run away from his record, he aired a deceptive ad in the final week of the campaign that claimed he voted to end amnesty.
Those who support enforcement of Americas immigration laws are giving him (and his supporters in Tennessee) the business:

NOt that I’m advocating for it but I’m surprised buttheads like this haven’t had their asses whooped for being LIARS as they go about their bidness.
Both Independents and Democrats understand that “open borders” will wreck whatever piece of the American Dream they have achieved.
Let’s keep reminding them that Obama’s promise of “change” is a promise to make things WORSE.
I am sitting out the vote for Senator in TN.
Thank you! I was just going to say that.
What are these advisers thinking giving advice like that in a deep red state?

It may be deep red but the Republican Party in Tennessee has a purple streak running down it’s covered backside. Aside from Burchett in Knoxville you have a lot of Limp Wrist Lamar types throughout the state. Haslam, Corkhole come to mind right off the bat. Don Sundquist alleged BIG time conservative upon winning re-election for governor in the 1990’s immediately set out to institute a state income tax. Vote accordingly.
I remember Taxquist well. I was down at the capitol often protesting against the income tax. And you are correct, the people of Tennessee are deep red but a large number of politicians are purple RINOs. Republicans have held both Houses and the governorship for a number of years yet we STILL aren’t rid of the hated Hall income tax.
“After primary win, shameless liar Lamar Alexander renews push for amnesty”
Hugh Hewitt, amnesty pusher and big time Lamar! fan, will be pleased.
Hugh (and sometimes I think Annie) belongs to that RINO camp that sincerely believes non-Democrats must do anything for an electoral win, including sell their crippled sister's wheelchair.
You see, people (Soccer Moms, Single women, minorities, special interests, Latinos) all can receive much much more from Republicans if they'll vote that way. Republicans will handler it more efficiently, and as you can see, Republicans are much nicer people, family values and all. Vote Republican, You'll get more ... and we are NICE!
Hell of a 'Platform."
” And how stupid he is for believing them. A hole? YES. Dumb ass? YES YES. “
An obtuse,( bought and paid for), POS!!

HEWITT IS AN ENEMY OF CONSERVATISM
The Chamber of Commerce has owned Lamar for many years.
” Is it my imagination, or have we been complaining about this ‘Lamar’ dork since I was a child? “
YEP!
“Hewitt is an enemy of conservatism”
Pretty much. Pay attention to how nasty he is to conservatives like Tom Tancredo and Tim Donnelly versus his gushing over leftists like his pal Erwin Chemerinsky and you’ll know Hugh Hewitt.
Yesterday Hewitt’s featured guest was Joshua Muravchik, the one time National Director of the Young People’s Socialist League. They got along famously, just as Hewitt used to do with the late, self-described Marxist Christopher Hitchens. Hitchens was a guest on Hewitt’s show over 70 times.
Hewitt asked Muravchik if there any young people coming along who share their world outlook, that being the hawkish foreign policy of neoconservatism. That’s the first time I can remember hearing Hewitt call himself a neoconservative. Among other things Hewitt shares their indifference to illegal immigration and supports amnesty, which he renames ‘Regularization’. I don’t know if neocons will want to claim Hewitt since he’s such a classic GOPe stooge, but they are welcome to him.

The neocons threw up their arms, and left
The pigs snorted, and left
Hewitt all alone, and feeling blue
