Rasmussen Reports a polling firm with close ties to Karl Rove and the Bush political organization has released their latest polling on the North Carolina US Senate race. It purports to show Republican Thom Tillis at 45 percent, Kay Hagan at 40 percent, 6 percent for Other and 9 percent Undecided. (SNIP) The only polls Ive seen showing Tillis ahead are these Rasmussen surveys, and one from Civitas right after the May primary. Just two days ago, Civitas releases a poll showing Hagan leading Tillis by TWO. Tillis is also woefully behind Hagan in fundraising. And the DC establishment appears to be concerned about the Tillis campaign.

Rove needs to be gelded...
OK, so Rove is a bastard. However, don’t we do whatever we have to do in this race to insure Democrat Kay Hagan is not reelected? I’m “cornfused”! Please help me understand this.
Democrats hope to pull a rabbit out of the hat in NC with GOTV. It is an early voting state. They will be busing in the voters. Dispensing envelopes stuffed in cash. We saw this in Mississippi. It works. We have to get our people to the polls. We can’t count on their people not showing up.
Since we have a complete majority in Raleigh now and with the great help of Gov. McCrory, things have been going VERY well here in NC.

I don’t see Tillis losing this one, folks. NC was fooled once with Obama, not so with his re-election.
I don’t trust anything you post.
This website smells and looks like a Dem operative BS website!
The Wash Comp push polls arec peddled non stop here like its the gospel!
The Compost is nothing but Dem Party propaganda !
Are you a Dem operative / troll ?
Chris Christie, Rick Scott and Thom Tillis stand alone on amnesty in their success.
McCain, Lamar and Graham failed to get Obama a bill. Tillis just over-rode Gov. Pat’s veto of his amnesty bill.
Tillis is a terrible candidate. I could tolerate Patrick McHenry or someone like that.
December 2012 Tillis:The other thing were going to do is send a very clear message to Washington that they can make our job a lot easier if they would deal with the issue that theyve kicked down the road Republicans and Democrats for many, many years.

August 2013:
The GOP governor accused High Point area manufacturers of backing a bill McCrory vetoed that allows employers extra time to verify the legal status of a worker. The N.C. General Assembly this week overrode McCrorys veto from earlier this summer of legislation that extends from three months to nine months the amount of time an employee can draw a paycheck without having his or her legal status cleared though a federal database known as E-Verify.

Tillis said the immigration bill was designed to help alleviate the problems that employers in the state face because of federal immigration procedures and policies.
The regulatory burden and complexity caused by federal inaction requires us to consider stop-gap measures while we wait for politicians in D.C. to take action, he said. This bill received strong bipartisan support and sought to provide clarity to employers and agencies regarding the impact of illegal immigration in North Carolina.

I agree with you that the turnaround of the economy in states where we have our act together will definitely help us in the fall. In the face of the good economic news, the other side will rely on wedge issues to appeal to blacks and women, and will try to lead young people to the polls like the Pied Piper.
