Back in March, Mitch McConnell made a brash prediction about how Senate Republican incumbents would fare against Tea Party insurgents in the upcoming primary season.
I think we are going to crush them everywhere, the minority leader told the New York Times. I dont think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.

Our only hope now is the Article 5 Convention of the States.
So now that the GOP has SCREWED its electorate,
it expects those same people to support it?
Again?
The party of RomneyCARE?
The party of gay marriage?
The party of polygamy?
The party of supporting Obama 24/7?
The party of arming al Qaeda with McCAin?
The party of open borders as they hide?
The party consisting of the EXEMPT patricians?
Awful news to wake up to today.
Which were open primaries?
How many Democrats voted for the winners?
I do not trust hyperbolic adjectives so much as raw numbers.
Lettuce c if they can turn it into a Republican controlled senate when the voting’s dun.
Whatever happens, you know who will get the blame. We have become ‘the usual suspects’—for all of the uniparty.
So 30% of hitherto Republicans stay home yet again. No problem Mitch. You got it. Enjoy the RINO ride.
Mitch and the RNC know they got these wins narrowly. Probably all by dem voters who will not vote for them in nov
They, know they can’t run and win with a nominee like the ones they’ve run since they last saw their hated Reagan
Bushes don’t count. They are as connected and powerful as any dem. they don’t win on merit. Regardless Jeb cannot win
They might run him.
Maybe BECAUSE he can’t win.
Doesn’t matter - we got the BIG PRIZE - Eric Cantor’s head.
We also made those Senate incumbents actually FIGHT to hold their seats, a FIRST for incumbents in that body.
Mitch is pretty desperate. He won his primary with dem votes, but Grimes will win.It was a set up.

We are legion , there are millions of us. The GOP is assuring its eventual death.
>>I think we are going to crush them everywhere, the minority leader told the New York Times. I dont think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.<<
And this is exactly why I won’t be voting for Mitch, despite all those that chide me, saying “He’ll be better than the Democrat! We need him to get the Senate Majority!”. Nope...no thank you.
Obama has made good his campaign promise to fundamentally change America. Elections have consequences as voters seem reluctant to veer from the middle. Bottom line is those holding classic bitter clinger views are now a distinct and threatened minority. The only question that remains is what to do?
They are all sleeping in the same bed
People get the government they deserve.
