Up to a quarter of Iraq's Christians are reported to be fleeing after Islamic militants seized the minority's biggest town in the country.

The Islamic State (IS) group captured Qaraqosh in Nineveh province overnight after the withdrawal of Kurdish forces.

Meanwhile, the UN says some of the 50,000 members of the Yazidi religious minority trapped by IS on Mount Sinjar have been rescued.

Whoever mounted the rescue effort, it was NOT with any support from the Current Regime now squatting the White Hut in the territory once known as “the United States of America”.

Was it the Kurds? Sounds like the most likely and interested party. At one time, most Kurds were Yezidis, but today, although most Yezidis are Kurds, the rest of the Kurds have converted to some form of Islam, as the Yezidis were slaughtered in huge numbers under the Ottoman Caliphate. History is just continuing its march started so long ago with some crazed old sand hermit and his hegira to capture Mecca.

Unfortunately we have a cluster you-know-what in the White House.

I agree. All of this was unnecessary. ISIS would have been quite easy to derail early on. It is almost as if Obama wanted this to occur. No other good explanation.

The story does not say who recued the Yezidis.

Or that they only rescued two of them.

The article carefully doesn’t identify who rescued the Yazedis. Do they not know or are they trying to avoid giving credit to some non Islamic terrorist group?

If Obama’s CIA had not trained ISIS in the first place in Jordanian terrorist training camps, this would not be happening. We created this. We created the collapsed in Egypt, in Syria and in Libya. Now ISIS is aiming at Lebanon, Turkey, Israel and Iran. Obama has helped created the worlds largest terrorist group.

Numbers have fallen from around 1.5 million since the US-led invasion in 2003 to 350,000-450,000

Not such a great plan that was :(

Iran almost certainly has troops across the Iraqi border helping in the fight against IS.

Sounds like a plan to establish the Islamist dream of the Greater Caliphate by Imam Obama, the greatest Muslim leader of the century, spreading death and destruction wherever he looks.

Say what you will about Iran but it’s a stable country where Judaism and Christianity are officially recognized. They are the one to root for in a fight with these guys.
