First lady Michelle Obama on Wednesday proudly stated she believes women are the smarter sex and must use prominent positions in government, business and other endeavors to affect change.
Speaking at a women’s forum at the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington alongside former first lady Laura Bush, Mrs. Obama said women in power cannot waste their opportunities because they’re simply more intelligent than men.
“Every time I meet a child I think, who knows what’s going on in her life, whether she was just bullied or whether she had a bad day at school or whether she lost a parent — that interaction that we have with that individual, that child for that moment, could change their life,” she said. “So we can’t waste this spotlight. It is temporary and life is short, and change is needed. And women are smarter than men.”

I was listening to NPR yesterday and Michelle was doing the standard “aren’t women great” thing and saying to myself, “I am so sick of this ‘dividing’ people by race and sex. Why can’t you say women AND men - IOW, PEOPLE?” And then they mentioned that Laura Bush was there and they played a snippet of her speech. My jaw dropped, because that is exactly what she said. That is, she made a point to say “both women AND men”. I couldn’t believe it.
I’m not the only one that notices.

Michelle is an idiot. Liberals make these inane comments and no one calls them on it. How exactly are women smarter than men? I am a woman. I am tired of the men bashing. It is not good for our society.

I am better at reading body language and subtle things. My husband is far better at big picture things and strategies. Just as one example. So when we discuss things we both contribute and we make a plan based on what we both know.
