Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Second Nigerian victim is reported today. Also 7 new cases in Nigeria. This epidemic is not contained. It is spreading.

Yeah there are some that are nervous....but there’s a lot of bravado out there as well in the medical community.

This is not something that a wait and see attitude should be subscribed to....lol

So much for the dopey Drs. on Fox saying, “Nothing to worry about in the US it is not very contagious”

Sorry, yes, it would be mean. Not all Muslims are terrorists. And if it went to Mecca, it would be a pandemic.

Jeddah is not to far from Mecca.

Saudi has already said no Hajj visas will be issued to countries that have ongoing ebola outbreaks.

This is their news release about the latest victim:

Well that is not good.

Well, maybe it is. The more "victims" that die - especially overseas - the fewer there are to invade out borders and start a pandemic here. Of course, Hussein 0bama is bent on doing so in any way possible, even if it means flying them into Atlanta .

I hope he was a full participant with his muzzie "brothers" in the ramadamading dong festivities.

A suicide carrier?

I would prefer this not spread anymore.

Not all terrorists? So what. They are rats and Sharia Law is their Black Death. The Western worlds only hope is the eradication of all Muslims.

We have not.

They should have issued a denial by now if it weren’t ebola.

Let’s hope someone has simply been tardy with that negative test result.

An ebola case ‘in the wild’ in NYC would cause legendary panic there. Did he ride subway/bus/taxi to get to the hospital? etc.

Yeah lots of conflicting report on that. Last i read last night was they were still waiting on results. That statement also denied any other suspects in NYC.

Saudi has already said no Hajj visas will be issued to countries that have ongoing ebola outbreaks.

Now that a Saudi has died of it in Saudi Arabia itself, I wonder if they'll prohibit other Saudis from going there. Perhaps they should just call the whole thing off.

That’s an interesting prospect. If this curve is indeed going exponential (number of cases) right now, I just don’t see how it’s contained by the time Hajj rolls around.

There are probably interesting arguments going on about that right now in the Saudi MOH.

Saudi Arabia said months ago that they woulnd’t be issuing visas to citizens in Liberia, Sierra Leone or Guinea.

I suspect Nigeria will soon be added to that list.
