Becoming the Party of Work --How the GOP can help struggling Americans, and itself.

The way we achieve outreach to minorities is to focus on the American worker, which both parties have abandoned. We also need to reduce legal immigration and that can be done by linking it to jobs. We have a huge opportunity, but the GOP has been captured by their corporate paymasters.

I’M aware of all that and it scares the crap out of me.To me that means we need to win all of the elective reps in 2014 and 2016 to even have a prayer. I’m all about winning elections. Bray’s formula for winning local elections is brilliant I just don’t know if it works nationally or not.

That would be a start, but it will not stop the Dems from being the permanent majority party unless we drastically reduce legal immigration.

America aborts our own future citizens at a rate of about one million each year. This mass extermination is facilitated by our own government which funds Planned Parenthood whose chief function is population control via family planning and particularly their barbaric abortion clinics. A large percentage of those unborn citizens are minority races, who are being replaced by foreign races from a variety of countries.

I have wondered forever why the American minorities are not concerned with the dilution of their protected status by the huge influx of competition from more current designated victims of oppressive governments.

Keeping impeachment or possible impeachment in mind if you want to win the maximum in 2014 and 2016 how does that play with our entire voter base and indys for both elections.Who will vote for whom and why? These are the hard questions we need to ask.

Excellent article this morning. Thanks.

I think the better objective would be to impeach people like Eric Holder for his mismanagement and biases he’s brought to the Justice Department. Impeaching him would be easier since it’s proven he told IRS employees to not prosecute blacks for admitted crimes, even extending by memo to employees to not prosecute perceived black crimes.

Add in his personal and political motives for not even investigating various other crimes and I believe he’s vulnerable to impeachment as it was intended to be used.

Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t know why impeachment cannot be used to remove people under the president when the president fails to remove them from office for not doing their job.

We need to get more white votes by appealing to Reagan Democrats. And we can make inroads to minorities thru the jobs issue. Let the Democrats be the party that supports huge immigration increases like the Gang of 8 bill that will triple legal immigration to 33 million over the next decade and double the guest worker programs to 1.4 million annually.

Immigrants are taking American jobs and depressing wages. We don't have a shortage of labor, but rather, a shortage of jobs. David Brat used this strategy against Cantor. He said we need to look at job needs in terms of the number of legal immigrants who are allowed in and we should not let the corporations dictate our immigration policies.

The hard question we need to ask is whether we are a party that stands for the defense of the Constitution or not. IMO we must do what we believe is right for country rather than let partisan politics hobble or deflect us from doing the right thing.

Ronald Reagan said, “A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.”

I agree with that of course. But what bothers me is I don’t have a hard firm strategy for winning in 2014 or 2016 regarding impeachment of zero. Where do we go with it, why, and what will the outcome be.Who will vote for us and why?
Unless I have the answers to these questions I’m not sure of the best course to take.

You're not dealing with outcomes which win elections. What are the outcomes?

I don’t know what it will take, maybe a mass outbreak of Ebola, god forbid, that will unite the entire country...

An Ebola outbreak will decimate the cities, and stop all public transportation in its tracks.

The retail sector will probably be suspended as well.

We can't take impeachment off the table. This morning, they tried to bait King on the issue. They wanted him to say that impeachment is not going to happen or a full-throated support of impeachment. He did neither. He said it was on the table if Obama proceeded with another executive order amnesty.

I think we can win that issue in the court of public opinion. If not, then the Republic is already gone. Amnesty is just the last nail in the coffin.

You reach a point on a constitutional issue where you don’t worry about political outcomes. You do what is right. The GOP went after Nixon and helped force him to resign. We can’t allow a lawless President to do something that threatens the very fate of the Republic. Personally, I believe amnesty will destroy this country with the stroke of a pen.

It’s not a gentleman’s world.

No, it is not...due to the lying Marxists, who believe "the ends justify the means".

Lying is not dishonorable

Yes it is, not to mention it is sinful

it is a fine tool to win the game.

No, there is no need for our side to engage in it.

The truth about RATs is vile enough, and telling the truth really p!$$es them off.

our side wants to play by Queens-berry rules in a knife fight. This is not about being nice or fair, it is about winning using every weapon you have. For many of us, after TWENTY plus years of "Republican" futility the lights are coming on. Thanks Bray

who do the middle of the roaders vote for and why?

And like it or not...that's the way it works.

The precious uninformed, unprincipled, low-information unenrolleds ALWAYS determine election outcomes.

Romney won the white vote 59% to 39% There is an old saying - Figures lie and liars figure. Not accusing you on anything BUT - You would need to show these numbers BY STATE. Romney lost Ohio - one of the key states in this election cycle. A state he and his handlers thought they had in the BAG
