Massachusetts Democratic Rep. Jim McGovern argued Wednesday that once unaccompanied illegal immigrant minors are turned over to their family members in the United States, they are no longer a burden on the United States.
“You talk about the costs of these children, if they are reunited with their families here in the United States, there is not a cost, so,” McGovern said at a House Rules Committee hearing on the emergency supplemental appropriations bill dealing with the border crisis.
Texas Republican Rep. Kay Granger — who heads House Speaker John Boehner’s border working group — protested McGovern’s assertion.
“I’m sorry, that’s just not right. Of course there’s a cost. There’s a huge cost,” she said.
“If you're saying we’re not trying to unite them with their families — who are also here illegally, in most cases — and so yes, there is a cost, and one of the reasons to speed this up is it is taking a year and a half and five years for these cases to come before a judge, in the situation we’ve got now. And during that time, we’re going to pay for their support where they are,” Granger explained.

It would really be cheap if we turn them over to THEIR OWN FAMILIES in Central America. That would save the U.S. taxpayers money and protect the “children” from being molested by commie lib child molesters. How about finding out from these illegal alien kids who exactly their parents are, then bring their parents to the border holding facility where the kids are located, then charge them with abandonment, neglect, willful negligence of their parenting duties, and child endangerment?
Then immediately deport all their criminal family right back across the border.
That will take care of a bloody lot of costs indeed, both short-term and for the future.
Or just start a rumor that the US is deporting all these children to China so they can be processed into pet food

Untrue on its face, but also I never have believed the “uniting with their families” myth. Whenever the NY Times has one violin solo after another on this theme, you know it’s not true. The kids are going to Latino families who are being paid to take care of them with our tax money. They love to tug on our heartstrings with lies and pretty photographs. If they’re being united with their parents, why did their parents leave them in dangerous surroundings? And why are they being warehoused all over the country.,
At least tell us lies we can believe.
Then why is Obama requesting more money? Stupid Democrats!
Huge areas that are bordered on three sides with large, uncrossable fences -except for the south-facing side, which will be open to Old Meh-hi-co.
Once they are released into the area they can be told they have a choice. Stay there in the compound/"National Preserve Park" where they are welcome to forage for whatever they can find, or start walking back south.
With a suitable warning that anyone attempting to go over or around the miles-long fences and escape that way will be shot as terrorist invaders.
They should get the hint fairly quickly.

WTH is WRONG with all the DemoRat politicians wanting to bring hundreds of thousands, if not millions into our cities and overload our welfare, educational, healthcare systems and housing facilities lately. Hell not only are they going to take jobs from hard working citizens, they’re not going to pay back into the system and take away resources on every level as well. In addition the taxpayers are loaded own to the gills with local taxes, service taxes, property taxes, business taxes, income taxes, and now Obamacre penalties or pay for insurance that won’t cover one damn thing until you pay huge out of pocket expenses. We are being reamed by the gov already and the damn politicians are all selling their souls and our future for 30 pieces of silver in the form of donations, earmarks, and endowments.
Free education, free school lunches,free medical care, free legal representation. Multiply that when they start breeding.
