Not being a fan of rap, I had never heard anything from him until I was reading a blog that had a like to a song of his on YouTube to make a point.
I clicked and I thought, "That's not bad at all...it sounds like Otis Redding". Until about 22 seconds later and then it turned into garbage. Turns out that it was just that peculiar notion of theft known as "sampling" that is endemic in rap "music".
It reminded me of the famous review that goes:
