Democrats Admit Amnesty Is For Political Purposes
INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY ^ | July 28, 2014 | IBD EDITORIALS

Politics: Give us your poor, your tired, your future Democrats waiting to be registered. That's what some in the party are saying as they urge the president to pursue immigration goals even if it hurts in the '14 midterms.

In other words, damn the political torpedoes and full speed ahead in the fundamental demographic and political transformation of America.

"You'll always have members whose political vulnerability they tie entirely to immigration," said Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz. "We didn't make progress when we were in the majority because we were being protective of those (members) on immigration reform. At some point do you worry more about the future or do you continue to put off the inevitable by not taking action?"

For Democrats such as Grijalva and Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., amnesty and the political benefits stemming from it are inevitable. They are quite willing to use children to exploit the inherent compassion of the American people if it means ensuring the political future of the Democratic Party through the gratitude of millions of illegal aliens allowed to come here and stay.

Gutierrez recently told a La Raza conference that it was only a "down payment" that President Obama gave the Latino community with his Deferred Action for Children Arrivals (DACA) program that halted the deportation of 600,000 of "our people":

The communist ‘RATS are scared to death about November. They have to import freeloader voters. The scumbags Alexis de Toqueville warned us about.

Yeah - it’s so clear to anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together (i.e., not Obama’s lofo base) what this is all about.

It’s meant to be the equivalent of LBJ’s boast about what the Civil Rights Act would have a particular population doing for 200 years.

Democrat goal for America - Third Worldification!

?Dems never seem to realize that they and theirs would have nothing, either.

Rule of law? Private property? Financial future for kids and grandkids? Fair vote? Anything?

Anything done by executive action can be undone by executive action. If republicans can prevent legislation ratifying Obama’s actions and can stop fighting one another long enough to elect a president committed to the rule of law, the country can be saved.

The pattern is becoming clear. Obama and company are doing the maximum to introduce chaos into the US pitting religious against non-religious, christian against Muslim, communist against goodness, gay against straight, rich against poor. Every position he takes makes the US abandon some former ally or smack down a loyal trading partner.

Only through such a strategy of hatred can Obama confirm his childhood training that America is an evil colonial power. Yet America has conquered no one. America (and no other country) freed its slave and shed its blood to do so. America has fed more, freed more, educated more, cured more, and enriched more than any other country on the planet. It is Obama who is evil. The truth of history is denied in Obama-world every day.

Worse may be yet to come. Obama has more damage to inflict. War, perhaps civil. Citizens against his brown-shirts. Economic ruin. Famine. Disease and plagues. It is in his plan to ruin America.

“We have to start boycotting businesses who hire these people.”

Good idea, however....

Many of them will simply be on the gov’t dole. Many will be engaged in illegal activity. Others will be engaged in legal activity (like cleaning someone’s home), but on a black-market, cash-only basis.

In other words; boycotting will be next to impossible.

Hmmm, if the fate of our nation and liberties depend on the outcome of an election, it means our government has become arbitrary and little better than most banana republics.

As for executive actions, yes, the next president can undo them. But the precedents have been established, that the executive can make law, which de facto repeals Article I Section 1 that lauched the American republic.

It is comfortable, yet silly to think that elections alone can cure what ails our country.

I agree with you in the narrow assertion that elections alone can't cure what ails our country, but, like it or not, elections are the method used to select the individuals who exercise the levers of governmental power. Our system is very fragile in the sense that it depends on the people we select, regardless of their political philosophy, voluntarily adhering to the guidelines outlined in the constitution. While there are methods for dispute resolution between branches of government, the only power available to the people is elections. While no voter has more power than another, collectively, we have the ultimate power. As voters, we are all responsible for the government we have, whether it was by our voting for the winning candidates, or by our failure to unite behind an alternative. Winners win and losers make excuses, but either way, elections are important.

With apologies to W.F. Buckley, it is time to stand athwart history and holler "stop!" Elections have become distractions, courtesies designed to lead us to believe we still have constitutional government. They serve little more than to condone criminality. For this, despots love elections. Obama Hisself told us he won, and to shut up and sit down.

We are headed down a road well known to corrupted republics, to absolute despotism as described by every political philosopher since the Golden Age of Greece.

Transcendent truths matter, and it is past time to put America's first principles back into practice. Here.
