A top-ranking North Korean military official has threatened a nuclear strike on the White House and Pentagon after accusing Washington of raising military tensions on the Korean peninsula.
The threat came from Hwang Pyong-So, director of the military's General Political Bureau, during a speech to a large military rally in Pyongyang Sunday on the anniversary of the armistice that ended the 1950-53 Korean War.
Hwang, who holds the rank of vice marshal in the Korean People's Army, said a recent series of South Korea-US military drills, one of which included the deployment of a nuclear-powered US aircraft carrier, had ramped up tensions.

The statement illustrates WHY original language definitions and their correct communication are so important and how their misuse misinforms the masses all the time.
An armistice is not an end to a war, it is only a truce, a temporary condition, waiting for a formal peace treaty. With only an armistice in hand, a state of war still exists and the peace of the moment is only a truce, not an end to the war.
The author has been rendered ignorant by our lousy education system.

The only problem with that is those in D.C. would force what's left of middle America to pay for rebuilding their countries. I guess they'd have to raise our taxes and raise the non-government employee retirement age to 74 years old.

What many seem to forget or not make the connection, all this testing not only sends messages but it also is real testing of short range missiles for sale and use to Iran, Hamas, etc., in order to take out Israel or inflict major damage depending upon the warhead used.
