This is alarming to me. I work in a lab. I am wondering if their precautions are unable to be met with the right equipment or ebola has changed in ability to infect.
But one assumes that they are gowned masked and gloved before doing it...and follow precautions.

That’s what I’ve been wondering, too.
Just not likely for a true bloodborne pathogen and I am just stunned if American MDs are not using universal precautions...there is more to the story I bet.
You just have to wonder if they ran out of gowns or something and just took a stand in faith and courage to keep going.
