Ukrainian army defeated the huge armored column militants near Torrez According to Igor Burkut "Rovenky held column of regular troops - Concerted crews of combat vehicles, artillery calculations. From air attack column covered two ZSU-23-2 trucks. A classic militia would ride on conventional trucks, pickups, buses.

Their weapons would be unsuited - from hunting rifles and museum to the PCA captured AK-74 and a variety of machine guns and mortars. Immediately visible - the same type weapons, the soldiers prepared. So they transferred from abroad, and then recently - has not had time to pull. "

Meanwhile, in nearby Dyakove, the 79th Airborne from Mykolayiv is cut off. Surrounded on 3 sides with it's back to Russia. Shelled constantly for nearly 2 weeks. "Mice in a trap." "No food." "Equipment destroyed." So distressed are the wives of the paratroopers, they blockaded the Mykolayiv -Odessa Highway in protest. I really think it time for a major assault in that direction, ala Patton to Bastogne. Just sayin'...

Torez is just to the NW of Dyakove. Help is nearby.

Those flying sharks are dangerous. It takes helicopters propane can bombs to kill them, or hedge trimmers.

Using the term thug indiscriminately ignores the reality of a people that just want to be left alone.

Another reality that ought not to be ignored is that Russian-speaking Ukrainians in the eastern regions opposed the Obama-backed Junta that seized power in Kiev.

OMG.

Like Hitler?

People here in the US better start working on and speaking out about the rape of the US Constitution without paying attention to the deliberately distracting regurgitation of propaganda BS about YouCrane.

Let the Socialists, Trade Unionists, and Jews, in Ukraine speak out for themselves without our sticking our nose in it.

If YouCrane hadn't had an illegal coup none of this would be happening, their gas would cost them far less then they're paying now, they'd still have credit to pay for energy rather than paying in advance, they'd have fifteen billion less debt, and the IMF wouldn't be dictating what austerity measures they have to take.

All just if they had waited until scheduled elections.

The theives in power now knew damn well they couldn't win an election or they'd have waited until the already scheduled election to toss the other theives out. Not because the elections would be rigged, either, that's more BS. They knew if there were free and fair elections in the East and Southeast their sweethearts couldn't win. Period, that's what the whole coup was about. One band of thugs ousting another band of thugs they didn't have a chance against if they stayed within the law and the people who got shafted the most not being willing to lie down and take it.

If the people in the East and Southeast believed Putin would rush to their aid they were just deluding themselves. Putin rusing in with troops is the best of all possible outcomes in the eyes of the people in charge in Kiev. It solves almost all their problems, gets them out of the IMF austerity requirements, gains them billions of sympathy bucks, and puts foreign troops in Kiev to keep them in power. What, you think none of them looked at how Kosovo played out and why?

Anyone who bothered to actually read both agreements knows for a fact the people of Ukraine fare far worse harnessed to the IMF/EU Honey Dipper cart than they would have under the deal Russia offered them to just stay with the Status Quo.

But it's all Putin's fault. What, tired of saying, "Bush's fault"?

Spoke with friends in Ukraine today. These are all lies. Untrained boys with no boots no food no real training are being thrown against Spetsnaz controlled Chechin mercenaries and are being killed wholesale. The damned government in Kiev whines about no money while the Verkovna Rada makes huge money every month

Poroshenko will deserve a hanging for what he is let go on in Donetz

Through friends of mine with family still in Ukraine I hear the same but without independent verification how do you decide it's not more rumors?

Western Ukraine is neck deep in rumors from what I hear.

I notice they’re using sand bags as reactive armor.

How do we know this without a free and fair election in those territories?

Not anywhere near the extent that the Russian disinformation program spread in the media. The election put the lie to that as have the Russian supported operations against those very same people.

My people are raising money privately to supply food and water uniforms and boots to the troops. Much criticism of the US and Europe for not intervening. Very sad situation

“Junta that seized power in Kiev.

When the Prime Minister, who fleeced billions from the government, is facing criminal charges and flees the country that’s not a coup or seizing power. When parliament elects a replacement that’s not a junta.

The only deviation was by the PM. He went against his agreement with parliament to sign the EU accord. Perhaps you think politicians should be above the law?
