JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli aircraft struck 30 houses in the Gaza Strip early Friday, killing a leader of the militant Islamic Jihad group and two of his sons, as Israel's Security Cabinet was to decide whether to expand its operation or consider ideas for a cease-fire.

A note here about that. Islamic Jihad is a fierce competitor to Hamas in Gaza, Islamic Jihad is funded by Iran, while Hamas is funded by Qatar.
Hamas used to be funded by Iran a few years ago, until they had a falling out with each other, because Hamas would not support Iran in Syria. Hamas “packed up” in Syria and left! Iran dropped them.
After searching, Hamas got Qatar to fund them. Iran wants to have influence in Gaza, so they fund Islamic Jihad.
