Northeastern Nevada ranchers hit with grazing closures ( BLM )

BATTLE MOUNTAIN — Once again ranchers who run cattle on the Argenta Allotment in Lander County were told Wednesday that due to drought a number of areas would be closed to livestock.

Pete and Lynn Tomera were told by the Bureau of Land Management they had a week to remove cattle from nine segments of the allotment

...

We have 7 days to ride the entire mountain and have the cattle off. We are right in the middle of haying and are forced to drop everything and begin gathering cattle,” the Tomeras wrote. “We are forced to put the cattle in areas that have much less forage than the mountain where they are now. Much of their monitoring reflects only a small portion of the area yet this is what they use to determine the health of the entire area.”

The Tomeras, who had hired a range consultant for monitoring, disputed the need to remove cattle. The entire allotment, he noted, is about 56 percent privately owned.

“I never dreamed we could have so much trouble,” Pete Tomera told the Free Press. “I’ve had countless other ranchers say ‘I wish I had feed like that’ or ‘I wish I had water like that.’”

...

According to the Tomeras, their range consultant was denied access to the agency’s monitoring data.

...

Gerber .. spearheaded a protest, dubbed “the Grass March,” in which he and other horse riders carried from Elko to Carson City petitions calling for the ouster of BLM Battle Mountain District Manager Doug Furtado.

...

The county commissioner traveled to Washington, D.C., on Wednesday. He is slated to testify 11 a.m. today at a Congressional sub-committee hearing on public land and environmental regulations.

The topic of the meeting is “Threats, intimidation and bullying by federal managing agencies.”

WHY???

What makes the BLM believe they have a priority interest in this land?

What “species” did they invent to claim this authority this time?

Every damn Government agency has been granted the authority to write their
own regulation anytime they desire to meet any goal they want. Those goals include
enriching the pockets of the Elected.

The reason the House like it this way is plausible deniability.
If they do not sign off on regulations then they cannot be held accountable each election.

This tactic must end but as with every Administration nobody has the Balls to make it happen
and you would find no more than maybe one or two who would support any changes that would hold
themselves accountable. The EPA are the worst violators of regulation trust and all the oversight
is done behind closed doors, out of sight and mind of the public.

It's all part of the 0bama Regime's plans to reduce globull warming by eliminating cow farts. Eliminate the grazing land and ranchers have to slaughter their herds. The result however is to raise beef prices to the highest ever, but no matter, that's in line with queen moocheelle's decree on what we can, or cannot eat! Meanwhile the wookie and the usurper dine on wagu beef, courtesy of the taxpayers.

BTW they could eliminate just as many cow farts if they made Idiot Joe Biden STFU!

Point to bring up: If we can allow 2 million illegals in our country in the space of a year, why is there water for them and not for the cattle that ultimately feed those same illegals?

More “control” exerted by Obama’s thugs. Recent articles about the skyrocketing cost of food, beef, etc. fail to mention government actions like this. Add it all up......looks like Russian style lines at future grocery stores. This is part of the “fundamental change” promised by Obama.............more to come I’m sure.

Tell the ranchers to kick the BLM bolsheviks out. People have no idea how much of northern Nevada and southern Idaho are cattle country. The obama regime is acting more like Zimbabwe and Venezuela every day.

“Threats, intimidation and bullying by federal managing agencies.”

SOP for the BLM and most other federal agencies.

The bastards give them seven days to get their cattle off land they have grazing rights on...Outrageous!
