United Nations to launch probe into Gaza operation [Israel and Hamas]

Netanyahu calls human rights forum decision a ‘travesty’; US envoy says it lacks ‘balance’ and may undermine ceasefire efforts.

The UN Human Rights Council on Wednesday launched a probe into the conflict in Gaza, backing calls by the Palestinians to hold Israel to account despite fierce opposition from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Netanyahu’s media office slammed the decision as a “travesty” that ignored human rights violations by Hamas terrorists. “This investigation by a kangaroo court is a foregone conclusion,” his office said.

The United States was the sole member to vote against. The 17 abstentions were by the council’s European members, plus Japan and South Korea.

Manor, the Israeli ambassador, vowed that Israel would “destroy” Hamas’s military infrastructure.

“However, the Gaza residents are not our enemies. Israel is fully committed to international law,” he said.

The USA is the ONLY MEMBER to vote against it. And furthermore, as Israel constantly states and does, it says that those Palestinians in Gaza are NOT the enemy, despite the false accusations by Israel's enemies that they are. Israel makes it abundantly clear that it's Hamas that they are after and NOT Palestinian civilians. As the Israeli Ambassador says, Israel abides by International Law (and thus does NOT commit war crimes)!

Israel singles out Qatar as key Hamas terror sponsor
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3184241/posts

http://www.timesofisrael.com/as-it-battles-hamas-israel-singles-out-its-sponsor-qatar/

Gulf emirate is branded the villain behind Hamas belligerence, with PM’s former security adviser saying it funds tunnel diggers and rocket launchers.

President Shimon Peres accused Qatar on Wednesday of becoming “the world’s largest funder of terror” due to its financial support for Hamas in Gaza.

“Qatar does not have the right to send money for rockets and tunnels which are fired at innocent civilians,” the outgoing statesman told UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in Jerusalem. “Their funding of terror must stop. If they want to build then they should, but they must not be allowed to destroy.”

Qatar’s recently attempted to transfer funds for the salaries of Hamas civil servants in Gaza, following the formation of a Palestinian unity government, but was blocked by the United States, which pressured the Arab Bank not to process them. But former national security adviser Maj. Gen. (res) Yaakov Amidror told The Times of Israel that the emirate’s funding for the organization’s terror apparatus, including tunnel diggers and rocket launchers, has continued unabated.

US blocked Qatari funds intended for Hamas employee
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3180818/posts

http://www.timesofisrael.com/us-blocked-qatari-funds-intended-for-hamas-employees/

The United States has blocked the transfer of Qatari funds earmarked for the salaries of civil servants hired by Hamas in Gaza, The Times of Israel has learned.

A diplomatic source in the Gulf state, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Qatar had transferred hundreds of millions of dollars to Arab Bank for the salaries of some 44,000 Hamas civil servants. Those civil servants — employed by Hamas in Gaza since its takeover of the Strip in 2007 – were rendered jobless by the unity agreement with Fatah last month.

But the money was never processed by Arab Bank and delivered to Hamas, the source told The Times of Israel, due to pressure from the Americans, who consider Hamas a terror organization.

“This is strange, since funds from Qatar have never been blocked in the past,” the source said, referring to the $400 million aid package pledged by Qatari ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa during his visit to Gaza in October 2012.

Hamas’s deputy political bureau chief Moussa Abu Marzouk lambasted Arab Bank for neglecting to process the funds in comments posted on his Facebook page June 28.

In Qatari-Backed Trip, UN ‘s Ban Ki-moon Laid Low by Israel’s Peres

Israeli President Shimon Peres on Wednesday told United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon that Israel would not stand by while Qatar, which paid for the UN official’s private flight to the Middle East, continued to finance Hamas militants, and took Ban to task for the two UN-run schools found to be housing Hamas rockets in Gaza.

In his last full day in office, Peres, a historically dovish leader, struck a defiant tone in a statement delivered to the media after meeting Ban at the President’s Residence, in Jerusalem.

“Qatar does not have the right to send money for rockets and tunnels which are fired at innocent civilians,” Peres said. “Their funding of terror the must stop.”

Newsweek‘s Benny Avni reported on Monday that the Qatari government paid for the UN Secretary General’s flight through the Middle East, where his first stop on Sunday was Doha, where he denounced Israel’s Operation Protective Edge’s battle in Shuja’iya, a border city that had been overrun by competing Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad fighters, and where rockets were hidden in mosques, hospitals, playgrounds and cemeteries connected by tunnels used to infiltrate the Israeli border and attack Kibbutz Nahal Oz a mile away.

Meanwhile the US jnder. Obama continues to fund Hamas, beginning with its $900 million commitment in 2009 and continuing through last week’s announcement of another $47 million to Gaza in flagrant violation of the US law that forbids funding entities with which the terror group Hamas is affiliated.

Gulf Arab states weigh sanctions on ‘sisterly’ Qatar for its drift into Iran orbit
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3184291/posts

http://www.worldtribune.com/2014/03/10/gulf-arab-states-weigh-sanctions-on-sisterly-qatar-for-its-drift-into-iran-orbit/

ABU DHABI — Qatar could face Gulf Cooperation Council sanctions amid its support of Hizbullah and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Officials and analysts said Qatar could be penalized by the GCC for Doha’s support of groups deemed threats to the region.

The officials said the sanctions could include the closure of borders by Qatar’s neighbors.

“Qatar could face sanctions imposed by the Gulf countries, including the closing of borders with Qatar, and air space to it if Doha doesn’t stop supporting the Muslim Brotherhood,” Abdul Khaleq Abdullah, a leading United Arab Emirates analyst, said.

On March 4, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE withdrew their ambassadors from Qatar. In an unprecedented statement, the three GCC states said Doha, in violation of a regional security accord signed in November 2013, refused to end support of the Brotherhood and Hizbullah.

You always seem to confuse humanitarian aid to the Palestinians with aid to Hamas ... :-) ... and Israel allows humanitarian aid go in Gaza all the time.

Or the other confusion you have is with the Palestinian Authority and Abbas, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to keep in place in Judea and Samaria to administer the Palestinian population there.

And then the other confusion you have is the “unity pact” which the PA used for foreign consumption, but maintained control over the territories and wouldn’t let Hamas have any control at all.

The only place Hamas has any kind of control is in Gaza, and Egypt is working with Israel to place Abbas and the Palestinian Authority in control of the Gaza side of the Egypt-Gaza border.

You need to “get up to speed” on these things ... :-) ...

It isn’t even credible to argue that the US is not a funding source for Hamas.

You once again confuse “humanitarian aid” - which the USA sends through UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) ... with “support for Hamas”, which neither the USA or Israel does.

The Israeli Ambassador made it clear yesterday that Israel does not have a problem with the Gaza residents, but with Hamas ...

— — —

Manor, the Israeli ambassador, vowed that Israel would “destroy” Hamas’s military infrastructure.

“However, the Gaza residents are not our enemies. Israel is fully committed to international law,” he said.

— — —

He spoke at the UN Human Rights Council and said that.

AND ... Israel has an embargo around Gaza to stop all weapons from getting through to Hamas -BUT - Israel allows all humanitarian aid to go through their checkpoints from UNRWA - through which the USA sends its aid.

A “little knowledge” with you is a dangerous thing ... LOL ... you need to get fully informed ... :-) ...

HO-HUM.

Look, there are rumors (again, only a rumor) that the HAMAS planned on carrying out a MEGA-TERROR ATTACK either on last year's Rosh Ha Shana (New Year) or next year's.
The scale is absolutely unbelievable but take a seat before I continue. Again, this story is not confirmed but gives Israel 200% legitimacy to nuke Gaza if need be:

The Israel GSS (General Security Services, (FBI) after interrogating captured senior HAMAS officers from the latest fighting report that:

They built 45 “attack” tunnels, of which almost all traversed the Gaza border to EVERY SINGLE Jewish kibbutz in the vicinity of Gaza. Most of the tunnels went under the Jewish community houses and were supposed to exit, right next to each communities’ collective dining halls.
Rosh Ha Shana usually sees the entire community dining and celebrating together in a single hall.
From each of the 45 tunnels, 200 heavily armed terrorists were to emerge simultaneously and kill every single Jew in the community! That means, 9,000 terrorists firing, tossing hand grenades and butchering each community in the middle of a Holy day.
After killing everything and everybody, they were overrun each community and conquer them.
This would have been an unprecedented bloodbath inside Israel's border and the Israeli Army would have had a hell of time retaking and killing all the terrorists. Sure many would have taken hostages back down into their escape holes.

If this is true it TOTALLY justifies Israel destroying HAMAS once and for all.

How evil can these scum be?
