Russian soldiers VK-page shows RUSSIA is shelling Ukraine with heavy artillery

Valdimir Petrov @_hedder found evidence of a Russian artillery unit shelling Ukrainian positions from Russian territory, because a soldier from this unit is posting photos on his VKontakte page (the Russian Facebook). Or course immediately after discovering this, his page has been deleted. But the info is still here:

"all night we were cannoning Ukraine"

Vkontakte is apparently the Ruskie version of Facebook, and these stuck on stupid Ruskie soldiers (not merely "separatists") apparently even geotagged their photographs. You can see more photographs from these morons at the link.

It's getting harder to keep things secret with sites like facebook around, not to mention mobile phones. Even Strelkov, the Russkie agent in Ukraine, was nailed because he was bragging on their version of facebook for the shootdown. Maybe Vladimir will ban them soon.

” Maybe Vladimir will ban them soon.”

It will happen.

I do respect Valds patriotic spirit, seems he is not as smart as thought.

The russian could have bought the Crimea for less than this mess has cost them.

IMHO

This means a Russian soldier has shared proof that his nation is illegally shelling a sovereign foreign country while his own president and government and military denied that they were doing it.

Oops!

Not our problem. Let Europe deal with it.

It is clear that under Obama there is not such thing as a red line, unless it is used for talking points.

Vlad’s patriotic spirit is all showmanship, always was. If he was a Russian patriot, he would not spend billions of dollars rebuilding Chechnya to support a puppet Islamic regime that gets him 99 percent of the vote there. He also would not be bombing his own people sometimes, as is alleged by people like the late Alexander Litvinenko.

Why should we lead on anything that is going on in Europe? The U.S. has no pressing National interest in Ukraine, and even if we did, our military is in no shape to fight the Russians in their own back yard.

Russia and its allies are our mortal enemies. We either fight them, or we do nothing and watch them take the advantage. The difference between us winning and them winning is the difference between humanity alive and humanity dead.

Russia and its allies are our mortal enemies

Our mortal enemies are invaders crossing the Mexican-US border at will, Mideastern terrorists, and US Senators. Anyone such as Putin who provides stability for his nation and thwarts terrorism should be our ally.

Which is stupid, since Putin supports Iran's nuclear program, and is building an Islamic caliphate in Chechnya. Anyone who says that Russia "thwarts" terrorism, when Moscow itself is the seat of terrorism of the world, is an idiot. He even used Muslim Chechens to invade Ukraine. Not only that, but "stability" in Russia was accomplished through beating and murdering his opposition and taking control of the media.

I notice that you do not give something very important: the reasons.

Such a view as yours is inherently irrational, and so, I do not expect any legitimate reasons to come from the Paul-brigade and Putin-fanboys.

Boy, some of the responses to what is an act of war make me wish I were playing a game of Risk for $ with the authors.

Just because Putin is a bad guy and Russia is threatening Europe, which despises the U.S. anyway, does not mean that we have to send our troops and spooks into another hellhole which is none of our business.

Seems that many of you warmongers have already forgotten our recent experience in Iraq, and completely ignore the fact that Russia is a completely different, larger, and certainly more lethal animal.

I say not only no to getting involved, but HELL NO!
