I just heard on the X22 Report that amusement parks are being hit hard. I can't imagine a lot of people could even imagine a day at the amusement park right now. It's a hit to the pocketbook in regular times. I can't even imagine what it's going for now---

Yep, standing in line on a hot summer day is not my idea of fun.

They have some terrible sounding movies out there, things I wouldn’t watch for free.

season passes to amusement parks cost only a little more than a single ticket

do they hope people only come two or three times a year when they buy a season pass?

amusement parks are being hit

We went to an amusement park on our vacation earlier this summer. We go about every year, about the same time.

This year, it was deserted. WBill Jr. loved it, we rode a ride until we got tired of it, then moved on to the next one. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I felt a little bad. It's a smaller park in a small town, family-owned, generally a pretty nice place - I see the same people working there, year after year. I hope that they make it through this rough patch.

Since 1994 we have purchased season passes to King's Dominion (Virginia) and have taken a five day mini vacation to Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, VA. This is our first year we did not buy the season tickets and we did not plan the trip to Busch Gardens either. The economy has hit our pocket books hard this year.
