The FAA announced today that they have not lifted their ban against travel to or from Tel Aviv's airport and will prohibit travel to the country for an additional 24 hours.

"The agency is working closely with the Government of Israel to review the significant new information they have provided and determine whether potential risks to U.S. civil aviation are mitigated so the agency can resolve concerns as quickly as possible," the FAA said in a statement.

No, it is not my job to get a retraction from inaccurate quotes. It seems however, that you are bent on promoting the terrorist's propaganda.

Yes, airlines all over the world are suspending service to Tel Aviv. Does that make it not political? Please... Jews are among the most hated people of the world. Yes, Germany has suspended flights. >I can't find a single place where you quoted that Britain has not.

I am looking, but have not found a single quote from Star Traveler that Israel has provided detailed information about the safety of Ben Gurion to the FAA - and the FAA has said that they are seriously analyzing that in their review. I have not seen a single quote from you about Israel opening up Elat airport to international flights.

Israel to open Eilat airport in effort to resume flights

I have not seen a single post from you about airlines ready to resume flights ASAP.

US Airways plans to resume Tel Aviv flight on Thursday (if FAA says OK)

You are quite a busy person these days with all your posting, and it seems that all you want to quote is from places that want to harm Israel. I wonder why that is?

The fact that four major airlines suspended their flights - indefinitely - per the quote below ... is not terrorist propaganda. It’s what one calls reported facts.

It would seem that you don’t like the “reality” of what “happens” and thus want to label it “terrorist propaganda”.

And, once again, here’s the quote from yesterday ...

Israel Transportation Minister: Cancellation of Flights to Israel Gives a ‘Prize to Terror’

http://www.algemeiner.com/2014/07/22/israel-transportation-minister-cancellation-of-u-s-flights-to-israel-is-a-prize-to-terror/

On Tuesday, four major U.S. airline carriers announced their decision to cancel flights heading to Israel indefinitely, one specifically citing the danger of Gaza rocket attacks near Israel’s Ben Gurion airport.

Shortly afterwards, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said it told all U.S. airlines that flights to the airport are prohibited for 24 hours, according to The Associated Press.

And here’s another quote from today, with additional information about foreign airlines suspending flights ...

FAA extends ban on US flights to Israel by 24 hours

http://www.jpost.com/Operation-Protective-Edge/Lufthansa-Delta-extend-flight-bans-to-Israel-368616

Lufthansa, Delta, US Airways extend flight bans to Israel along with US Federal Aviation Administration along with most European airlines.

The FAA on Tuesday said it told US carriers they were prohibited from flying to or from Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv for up to 24 hours, citing “the potentially hazardous situation created by the armed conflict in Israel and Gaza.” The FAA later extended the ban by another 24 hours on Wednesday evening.

The decision to halt flights to Israel follows the downing last week of a Malaysia Airlines jet over Ukraine with nearly 300 aboard.

Germany’s Lufthansa on Wednesday suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv for an additional 24 hours. The decision also applies to Germanwings, Austrian Airlines, Swiss and Brussels Airlines.

“At the present time no adequate authoritative new information is available that would justify a resumption of flights. In close coordination with the responsible authorities Lufthansa is continually evaluating the safety situation for its total flight network,” the company said.

Now I don’t care whether you choose to believe it or not — but there are the news reports and you can now go and stick your head in the sand ... LOL ...

Read the article below. US Airways did NOT suspend indefinitely. Your quote is in error - and the link is a direct quote from US Airways, not some newsie assuming.

What's up? Got family that are residents of Gaza?

You seem to think that posting news articles and establishing the facts is related to supporting Islamic Terrorists ... :-) ...

As I have pointed out. Your posts are a reporter's opinion, and often based upon misunderstandings of the aviation industry. You keep quoting about 4 major US airlines suspending service to Tel Aviv. There are not 4 major US airlines flying to Tel Aviv. Your quote is from an uninformed source.

You want quotes of fact, how about quoting Israeli officials?

Israel criticises airlines as US flight ban extended

Giora Romm, director-general of the Israeli civil aviation authority, told the Financial Times he was “very disappointed” with the US aviation regulator’s original decision on Tuesday. Speaking before the FAA’s extension, he said it was safe to fly in and out of Ben Gurion, highlighting how Israel had military defences – its Iron Dome system – to protect the country from rocket attacks.

Mr Romm said about 25 airlines had stopped flying to Ben Gurion, adding this would have a “very bad” impact on the Israeli economy. “Israel is connected to the world via aviation, and when there is a curfew on aviation the kind of which we have experienced in the last 24 hours it has a very negative impact on the economy,” he said.

This is the first time Israel has suffered significant reductions in flights to Tel Aviv since the 1991 Gulf war.

I’ve posted another article you referenced already and I continue to post a series of articles on the subject. And, of course, it’s only natural for Israeli spokesmen to advocate for their own airport ... it’s “their business” ...

But then again, it’s the “business” if all those other airlines to consider their own safety and for their passengers.

I’ll look that post up for that link and see if I can get in past their firewall, but in the past, I haven’t been able to get past their front page. But, I’ll look around for another source.

Well then it is just as important to understand that the airlines have a self interest as well - and their's is to continue service - understanding that the FAA ban was simply politics, and not really safety related.

Air Canada or Lufthansa is not canceling their flights because of the FAA ... :-) ...

Air Canada says they’re not flying because of safety issues and Lufthansa says that they’ve seen nothing to justify starting up their flights yet.

That’s just the way it is ...

According to these quotes, they are exercising judicious caution ...

Air Canada has cancelled its scheduled flight to Tel Aviv from Toronto Tuesday night, following the lead of other airlines concerned about rocket fire near Ben Gurion Airport.

Air Canada had a flight scheduled to leave for Tel Aviv from Toronto at 6:10 p.m. ET. The airline will continue to evaluate the situation and provide updates as needed, a spokeswoman said.

The return flight to Toronto from Tel Aviv for Wednesday, July 23, has also been cancelled, the carrier confirmed.

In response to a CBC News query, Transport Canada said the suspensions of flights to Israel are decisions taken by airlines themselves.
