This poll, and others like it, tells us that 42% of those poled are “LOW INFO VOTERS” (political troglodytes). These are hardcore, dyed-in-the-wool, leftist/liberal/progressive/democrats.

So what good, if any are they?
Well, for one, it's fascinating to compare different presidents at the same times in their terms.
According to this chart, Presidents Truman, Kennedy/Johnson, Nixon/Ford and Bush II were all around the same levels as O'bama in their sixth year.
Then all but Johnson continued to slide below 30% approval.
Carter and Bush I both fell below 40% in their first term and were not reelected.
Possible that what held Johnson's numbers over 40% are the same factors keeping O'bama's there -- "civil rights" support.
It's also a fact that though Vietnam went badly for Johnson, the economy was doing great, and as somebody famous once said: "it's the economy, stupid".
So Johnson ended his presidency about where O'bama is now.
What does this predict for the future?
Truman, Kennedy/Johnson, Nixon/Ford, Carter, Bush I and Bush II were all followed by presidents from the other party.

More proof that Romney was right. As long as the government checks keep coming, some people will support Obama no matter what.
Two months in row mean its not an aberration. Low 40s is his unshakable base, its unlikely he can go lower regardless what he does.
We shouldn’t get excited about these numbers. His approval rate has been at 42% since August 2009.
That means regardless of how much he damages our country and our allies, he has a totally blind and non caring following who will vote for him and fund him as he destroys America:

President Barack Obama’s job approval rating is down to 42%, with a decline in approval from Democrats the leading factor.
The latest Zogby Interactive poll of 4,518 likely voters conducted from August 28-31 found 48% disapprove and 42% approve of the job Obama is doing. The poll found 75% of Democrats approve of Obama’s performance, a drop of 13 points among Democrats from an interactive poll done July 21-24 of this year. That same poll found 48% of all likely voters approving of Obama’s job performance, and 49% disapproving.
In the time between the two aforementioned polls, Zogby conducted a similar interactive survey from Aug. 18-20. That poll found 45% of all likely voters approving of Obama’s job performance and 51% disapproving. So Obama is up very slightly overall from 10 days earlier.
The Aug. 28-31 poll also found that:
17% give Obama an excellent job rating, 25% rate him good, 16% fair and 41% poor. Combining the two highest and lowest rankings shows 42% rating Obama positively and 57% negatively. (This is the standard Zogby International has used for many years in measuring job performance.)
Likely voters are closely split on whether they have a favorable opinion of Obama, with 50% favorable and 48% unfavorable. Democrats are more positive about Obama personally than they are of his job performance, with 85% rating him favorably.
52% of all likely voters are proud to have Obama as President, and 35% are ashamed. The percentage of those proud is unchanged from six weeks ago.
A majority of likely voters (53%) believe the U.S. headed in the wrong direction, with 38% saying right direction.
Delusion as also a feature in the Fuhrer bunker toward the end as well.
He will always have a floor of racial zealots and welfare takers supporting his numbers.

Conducted September 8-11, the poll said 54 percent of respondents expressed disapproval of Bush’s handling of the crisis, compared to 43 percent who said they approved.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — President Bush’s job approval ratings remain anemic among Americans, with disapproval exceeding approval 57 percent to 42 percent, according to a poll released Monday.
BO likely has a slightly higher floor, because 95% of blacks will support him come hell or high water.
No matter what poll or what scenario, President Obama is always at 42% approval (sometimes called a “new low”).
BOs 42% mostly consists of African racists, welfare scabs, sniveling progs, and faggots.
People are happy with their 401k’s, which are near all-time highs. This will only improve for Obama as the Dow heads towards 20,000.
If they can fake the unemployment numbers they can fake his approval numbers.
