Growing opposition to Israel in Germany
Deutsche Welle ^ | 22.07.2014 | Jeanette Seiffert

“Berlin police cower before Jew-haters,” proclaimed a headline in the Berlin newspaper Tagesspiegel—and this line has been posted numerous times on social networking sites. It was reported that a group of Arabs shouted “Jew, Jew, cowardly pig, come out and fight alone” at a recent demonstration and police officers did not interfere.

In many European cities, what began as peaceful protests turned into outpourings of anti-Jewish sentiments and violence against counter-demonstrators. […]

The Gaza conflict has stirred up public opinion in Europe, and it has brought Israel-hatred to Germany along with it, according to political scientist Stephan Grigat. […]

Grigat has also observed a growing anti-Israel stance in mainstream German society. And he finds that the term “Israel-criticism” alone reveals a lot about the negative sentiment. After all, he said, nobody speaks of “Japan-criticism” or “Sweden-criticism” when they do not approve of something the Japanese or Swedish government does. “This expression shows what all this is really about: not reasonable criticism of individual decisions made by the Israeli government, but plain resentment of the existence of the Jewish state,” said Grigat. …

Yeah, those peaceful Brownshirts in Germany. We should totally back them up on everything just because.

Let the Eurotards fend for themselves. Why are we still defending these a$$holes?

The people of Germany today are not better people than their ancestors from 60 years ago. Just as our current generation of Americans are not better people than our parents and grandparents who fought the Nazis in WWII.

Jew hatred is endemic to Europe. The Nazis and the Muslim Palestinians were jointly resonsible for the holocaust. The philosophy that they preached in the 1930’s is making a comeback with the grandchildren of the Nazis and Islamonazis.

I’ll wager that most of this opposition comes from the public housing dwelling, benefits milking, Friday worship gang. The real Germans are too busy slaving away to pay their green eco taxes to care too much about Israel.

i am shocked that a country such as Germany, who has a long record of respect and benevolence for jews would have a problem with such hateful rhetoric!

Rolf Verleger, a Jew and former board member of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, places most of the blame for the current mood on the Israeli government. In a recent interview on German radio, he pointed out that the Gaza Strip had come to resemble a giant prison and said it should be possible for a person to express criticism of Israel's Gaza policy without being branded an anti-Semite.

He also cannot understand it when German politicians are reluctant to criticize Israel based on German history. "What do my murdered ancestors have to do with the injustice perpetrated in the Middle East right now?" asked Verleger. "You can't just permit injustice to continue because of horrible things that happened in the past."

Well, there goes the stereotype.

There's certainly no big brain on Rolf.

Rolf doesn't even attain a double digit IQ.

I think there is a certain fascination (schadenfreude?) in Europe for the idea that Jews are acting like Nazis. Are the Israeli’s really acting like Nazis? Of course not, but one who is historically ignorant, or pretends to be, can claim there is. I’ve been on several sites where people are cavalierly throwing out terms like ethnic cleansing and genocide. This is totally absurd since the Palestinian population has quadrupled in the West Bank and Gaza since 1970.

This is especially true among Germans, who have been on the defensive about their past treatment of Jews. This is the perfect excuse to get some payback nearly 70 years of being made to feel guilty about the Holocaust. Was that guilt justified? Yes, but that still stirs resentment in the person being browbeaten. The younger Germans who had no role in WWII and, therefore, don’t want to feel morally inferior anymore.

Poor Rolf is a liberal. He’s slugged down way too much Kool-aid. There’s your problem.

Never Again!
The left seems to think it can “coexist” with Islam,
what a shock it will be when they are exterminated
along with every one else.

I was thinking about this last night before bed, it seems that after 9/11 happened it was when the media decided that Muslims were the victims and they had to be protected no matter what..even when you would see Muslims dancing in the streets celebrating 3000+ deaths, the media protected them..it started with that and now you are seeing the ramifications of that butt kissing

Kool-aid or camel urine? Maybe in the name of cultural diversity (peace be upon us), Rolf downed a couple of steins of refreshiing iced camel urine with his muslim homies.

The nations of Europe traded most of their Jews for Moslems. Much as they may still hate Jews, one day they will understand the gravity of their error.

Jew, Jew, cowardly pig, come out and fight alone, sorry, that's not anti-Israel sentiment. Jewhaters. No matter they're "immigrants". That the police stood aside, they've a tradition. A shame they chose to uphold it rather than uphold the law. Presuming there's a law to cover threats like this. Maybe there isn't in Germany.

In any case, not a proud day for Germany.

A few years ago, I did a lot of SW listening, and came across a US-based Jewish broadcast by a retired rabbi. One of the discussions was that Germany had the largest population of Jews outside of Israel and the US, iirc, but trouble was coming mostly from Germany’s importation of Turks.
