Egypt's foreign minister raised the possibility Tuesday of restarting stalled peace talks between Israelis and Palestinians as part of negotiating a cease-fire in the war that has broken out on the Gaza Strip.

At the start of a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri said he planned to work with U.S. and other world leaders “to not only resolve this issue but also to set in motion once again the peace process that Secretary Kerry has been so actively involved in so as to end this ongoing conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis.” …

There will be never be peace unless Hamas is destroyed. Israel must not accept any peace proposal especially if brokered by the US. Egypt should know better and if they go along with it then Egypt is no hope of ever be a vial nation again.

The ceasefire will be easy as compared to getting negotiations going again on the creation of a Palestinian state. The Palestinian Authority has been the one least interested in the creation of a Palestinian state, whereas Israel has been the most interested in doing that.

But, in any case, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has laid down the necessary requirements for forming a Palestinian state, from Israel’s side of the equation. He’s done so, in many speeches over the last several years, in both Israel and the USA.
