Conspiracy theories and the useful idiots who are happy to believe Putin's lies
dailymail.co.uk ^ | July 21, 2014 | DOMINIC LAWSON

On Saturday, the English language online version of this still Communist party-owned publication published an editorial entitled ‘MH17: some conclusions — did Nato try to murder Putin?’ Note the use of the word ‘conclusions’ even as Russia tells the rest of the world not to jump to any.

The article cites unidentified ‘eyewitnesses’ who saw Ukrainian airforce jets ‘accompanying MH17’ and ‘rumours that President Putin was believed to be flying over the same route at the same time’.

It continues: ‘Sources who have asked not to be named have claimed that the Russian President’s aircraft has very similar contours and colouring to MH17 and that both aircraft intersected at the same point and altitude at a similar time.

‘In the event it did not fly over Ukraine, but the trajectory could have fooled those who wanted to murder President Putin. Nato?’

Almost comically — if it is possible to be amused by anything related to such a monstrous crime — the article in Pravda accused the British media of ‘a total lack of respect for the victims and their families, trying to score points from a tragedy’, immediately before observing: ‘After Iraq, after Libya, after Syria, would anyone seriously rule out a Nato attempt to murder President Putin?’

The author ends with the most important conclusion about the responsibility for this terrible incident — at least from the point of view of the man in the Kremlin: ‘One thing is clear: President Putin is not responsible.’

Putin has not yet attached his own name to the bizarre conspiracy theories given licence on the state-controlled media. He has contented himself with the observation that the 298 deaths were the Ukrainian government’s fault because ‘the state over whose territory this took place bears responsibility’.

I dont believe anyone. If I wanted to believe the stuff coming from the MSM and from governments that have repeated lied to us for years, then I would not be on FR, I could just go to USAtoday.com.

And knowing how corrupt western governments have become, I’m going to remain that way until I get some questions I have answered about this. One of the big ones is why exactly was this plane flying over this part of the Ukraine while other flights were avoiding this space for weeks. So far all I got was that mad dog Putin blasted a plane out of the sky, because he’s craaaazy. Like what the hell does Russia stand to gain from that?

Sorry, but I prefer to be the last person on a bandwagon so I may have the first chance to jump off if it ends up going over a cliff.

There were dozens of flights through that area that day.

Would Putin shoot down an airliner if he thought he could profit from it, financially or politically?
Hell, yes.
Will Barry and company kill us all when they figure the time is ripe?
Hell, yes.
Did Putin shoot down the plane.
Doubtful.
Maybe it was somebody from the religion of peace that blew it up to get Russia and NATO/US into a fur ball.

If by that you mean Chechens fighting for the Russians . . . in any case, looks like a bunch of Cossack hotheads did it.

I got your conspiracy theory right here: Remember that big anti-illegal protest that happened this weekend? Maybe somebody didn’t want that to be the front page news? If the “kids” from South America heard they weren’t wanted, maybe they would stop coming. Can’t have that. Something big had to happen to take that off the front page. Just sayin’

Ok, then why didnt these Russians not just take them all down? They correctly ID’d all of these airliners, but magically goofed on this one?

What the heck was the benefit of shooting one (I guess) random plane down? One story I’ve read is that the people supposedly manning this missile launcher shot this plane down because they thought it was Ukraine military jet, but they just conveniently ignore dozens of other commercial airliners that would have looked no different than this one? Again, for what?

I don’t think anyone, on either side, is disputing that it was a mistake. (Well, except for the Russians trying to make excuses). If you look for rational explanations to mistakes, you fall into a very deep hole.

So pro-illegal immigration activists shot down the plane?

“Yeh like what the hell did Russia stand to gain from the Katyn Forest massacre!!!”

More control of the half of Poland they invaded.

Considerably more of a clear explanation than what Russia gets from a wrecked plane that belongs to a nation in SE Asia, that took off from the Netherlands.

It’s not their behaviour leading up to the shootdown that is telling but their behaviour afterwards.

The Russkies have fired upon airlines twice before, both times knowingly, although they made excuses later and hid evidence. One does not need to understand the motivations of animals. One merely needs to know that they are animals.

Yes they did. However the sticking point with both were these craft flying unwittingly into Soviet airspace. One that didnt respond to Soviet calls, and thankfully was able to land after being hit. The other was not the act of some stupid fighter pilot, but orders from the ground after clearly being informed by that pilot that this was not a military craft.

Both of those took place over 30 years ago. Hardly a habit of animals that get their kicks from shooting down planes for sport.

This incident was neither of those, and was one of many planes that are in and around the area. So beyond easy claims that Russians love to shoot down planes, what would be the reason to pluck a random airliner out of the sky?

Both of those took place over 30 years ago. Hardly a habit of animals that get their kicks from shooting down planes for sport.

To this day, there are unanswered questions about the death of the anti-communist and opponent of Putin President Lech Kaczynski, as well as his generals and senior members, who died in a plane "crash" over Russia, not violating any airspace. The Russkies refused to hand over the black box for a long time, and there was video on the ground by a resident which picked up screaming, laughing, and shooting, at the place of the crash, before he himself fled.

Furthermore, and this isn't speculation or conspiracy, Putin routinely has his own opponents killed. News editors, journalists, political opponents, are beaten or even murdered for opposing the state, or else given trumped up charges and imprisoned for years.

Yes, they are animals.

So beyond easy claims that Russians love to shoot down planes, what would be the reason to pluck a random airliner out of the sky?

The easiest answer is: it was a mistake.

The second answer is, but it is only speculation, it was not a mistake, but was done as a provocation to blame the Ukrainians. The problem was that the Russkies up above forgot to relay the plan to the people beneath, and hence Strelkov and his merry men were bragging about it on their social media sites and taking videos of it.

In either case, it is beyond any doubt where it was this missile came from.

I thought it was obvious from the first post that I was being facetious. I thought this was a conspiracy thread where we could make funny posts about conspiracies.
