Ethan Edwards, a man in his mid-50s, last year confided his deepest secret to a close friend: that he was a pedophile.

"He's happy to keep my secret," Edwards wrote in an online chat with CBC News, too fearful of vigilantes to give out his phone number. But he says his friend now feels infected by his secret.

Edwards, a pseudonym, only realized he was attracted to young girls a few years ago. He says he's never acted on it.

This is probably the same guy who spoke at the conference of the pedophile-advocacy group B4U-ACT a couple of years ago. Yeah, they’re working on being “proud” of their orientation.

Virtuous Pedophiles?

An oxymoron if I ever saw one.

It’s coming to mainstream America, just like the marriage issue. We told everyone this stuff was going to happen, but nooooooobody listened. Just wait till the Left tries to make it a non-criminal offense..........It’s coming.................

Reminds me of the lust/adultery “in his heart” interview that Carter gave to Playboy magazine.

Last year, Montrealer David Goldberg, a former local newspaper editor and minor baseball coach, wrote a candid column for The Atlantic magazine about his own arrest in 2012 as part of an international child-porn bust.

“I had never asked to be cursed with this sexual attraction, and I had never hurt a child,” Goldberg wrote in the piece titled “I, Pedophile.”

After his arrest, and 90 days in jail, he put his journalistic skills to work researching the root causes of pedophilia. He concluded it wasn’t anything from his past, but was rather a sexual orientation.

gee....there are those words again...Sexual orientation...

And he certainly doesn’t view the children being sexually abused for kiddie porn to be victims......they are just as much his victims as if he had molested them himself.

Sick. These evil people are working overtime to change the public’s perception of their evil desires. They should be squashed like bugs just for admitting it.

1. Never act upon it.
2. Keep it in your heart.
3. Keep it to yourself.
4. Carry it to your grave.

5. If you violate step 1. someone will expedite step 4. after a speedy trial.

I think some people are being rather uncharitable here. If they were trying to justify child molestation, I could understand the outrage, but these people are being honest about their affliction and are actively working to suppress their sexual attraction to children so they don’t molest them. Wouldn’t it be the christian thing to support someone trying to be a good person in spite of temptation rather than condemn them and isolate them?

Why don’t you read the story? Pedophilia is a morbid temptation. Acting on it is a grievous sin, and rightly a crime in civilized countries. Virtue lies, in the first instance, in not giving in to temptation (morbid or otherwise), and in the second in doing good. Read the story.

My cure for these freaks involves Lorraine Bobbitt and a large sharp knife.
