It was sent to me because of a leftist ranting on about the Jews slaughtering poor Palestinians and forcing them out of their homeland. I remembered hearing that they never had a homeland, but needed a simple explanation.

I am waiting to see what kind of argument comes back. I expect it will be along the lines of this being a complete lie.

The Jews are the victims. They have every right to defend themselves.

Part of what brought this argument up is because we recently saw an intriguing movie called, The Other Son about two grown young men living on opposite sides of the West Bank who learn they were switched at birth; the real Jew being raised as Palestinian and visa versa.

There are a lot of replys about how the UN didn’t have the authority in 1947. However, very little understanding of the fact that it was a British Protectorate as a result of the Ottoman Empire losing in WWI. Britain then agreed to abide by the UN decision.
