A Malaysian passenger airliner with 295 people on board crashed in Ukraine near the Russian border, Interfax cited an aviation industry source as saying on Thursday.

True this doesn’t sound like a probable surface to air shoot down. More like an onboard incident.
So far nothing from the Airline HQ, promised a statement regarding an "onboard incident".

Yes, I know the Ukrainians have been shooting down their own planes in order to blame Russia for this. 3 or 4 in past two days I believe.

Not if the jetliner is at latitude and speed. Now on approach or takeoff then yes a manpad is easily capable of taking out a jetliner. This one was taken out by Russian military ground to air missile battery. Big oops for the Russians, they should know better.

A Malaysian passenger plane with 295 people on board has been shot down as it flew above eastern Ukraine, according to aviation sources.
For the record, broadcast networks ABC, CBS and NBC interrupted programming for live reports on the plane crash.
How many hundreds of thousands more will Obama sneak across the border while the 24 hour news channels are distracted?
