It is hard not to wonder what kind of impact $3.7 billion, the amount President Barack Obama has requested to deal with the child immigrant border crisis, might have on the traumatized children of Chicago's South Side.
In certain corners of this town — indeed, often in or very near Obama's own neighborhood — public school education is a joke, there are no jobs, there are no opportunities and there sure isn't much hope.
The same can be said about areas in St. Louis, Detroit, Oakland and in many high-poverty communities populated almost exclusively by Hispanics and African-Americans.
Putting aside the question of whether we should or shouldn't take in needy children at the border, we might ask ourselves: If President Obama manages to get almost $4 billion to give Central America's kids succor, might he endeavor to come up with roughly the same amount to help the Hispanic and black children in crisis in his own backyard?

Yup... Barack’s traditional base is now asking what’s so wrong with THEIR kids that they get the short end of this dramatic rescue stick.
It’s still a warped view of things, but even envy manages to illuminate some truths. Namely, that their god in the White Hut really does have clay feet.

You are right...it is a warped view.
But if Eric Holder’s people wake up to what is going on...they will protest this far more forcefully than any of us anti-illegal immigration folks will. It’s a little bit worrisome, imho.

Uncomfortably close to “Charity begins at home” — probably too close for him to dodge the taint forever.

The $3.7B would disappear to no noticeable affect.
Just like it would at the border, or anywhere else this administration would claim to spend it.
While I am not sympathetic to a coalition based on feeding at the trough, I do recognize that for the coalition of the democrats, the black part of the coalition has played by the rules, and have almost nothing to show for it. It is amazing how badly they are being treated by the Obama administration. Rich lily whites have their pet issues put at the front of the line, like the keystone pipeline, banning coal, etc. Anything that would create jobs has been shutdown by lily whites. Blacks have gotten scraps in comparison. Now, near the end of the Obama administration, they find that they are behind even non Americans in line at the trough.
Blacks were taken for granted by Democrats... and have now been cuckolded.
And hey, at least it used to be a trough chiefly for domestic use. That was better than nothing.
Thanks, Barack, for bringing the reductio ad absurdam argument to illegal immigration.
What’s kind of funny is that looking through the fear campaigns to keep them apart, the tea party and blacks have a lot in common. The tea party are the black republicans.
If foreign aid were based on population, you can bet that these countries would do everything they could to keep their citizens from heading to the US.

The irony (for lack of a better word) that we elected a President who’s only experience was that of a “Community Organizer” in one of the worst communities in the country! And now he’s trying to community organize us all into oblivion!
And I thought the oceans would cease to rise and the planet would begin to heal.
Remember that in a few years Latinos will be the dominate minority here. 0bama is just speeding up the process.
Any minority that gets caught up in the liberal dragnet will soon penalize its posterity through abortions.
