Yahoo released second-quarter earnings today, and they depict a company that’s still struggling to find answers for its flagging display and mobile ads business.

Investors are trying to hang on to the initial good feelings they had for CEO Marissa Mayer when she took the helm two years ago, but quarter by quarter, they’re finding it harder to do so.

She used to be real cute, and she can get Obama to call her back within a week or two.

What more can you ask for?

About the only Yahoo service I use regularly is the Yahoo Groups. It used to be very easy to use, over the past year they’ve made a mess of it.

I certainly could be wrong, but she strikes me as a woman who went a long, long way in her career based upon her looks. And once she was placed in a position of responsibility, without anyone else around to shoulder the blame, the reality of her actual talent was, and is, being laid bare.

Wow, you mean the daily Gay is normal, Illegal Immigrant and Global Warming Propaganda + hourly stories on the Kardashians & Beyoncé aren’t bringing in the big bucks.

Ah, but they pleased the feminists by hiring her. What else matters? The bottom line? Nah!

Couldn’t happen to a nicer Odunga Bootlicker. Who’s she going to blame this on now, she fired the last guy whom couldn’t bring in the revenue after all of about 9 months.

Hell the paint is hardly dry on the Nursery Room she had added onto her Yahoo Office, maybe someone should be measuring her Office curtains.

Flashback:

How Marissa Mayer Fell Asleep and Kept Ad Executives Waiting For Hours

For media companies, the Cannes advertising festival is all about getting face time with top media buyers and advertisers. Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer missed a golden opportunity to do just that last week.

Last Tuesday evening, Interpublic Group IPG +0.26% arranged a private dinner at the swanky L’Oasis for Ms. Mayer to meet executives from marketers such as Mondelez International MDLZ 0.00%, brewer MillerCoors and Greek yogurt maker Chobani. It was supposed to be a chance for Interpublic and some of its clients to get a first hand update from Ms. Mayer on what Yahoo has to offer.

But Ms. Mayer was nearly two hours late, and several dinner attendees including IPG Chief Executive Michael Roth ended up leaving before she arrived, people familiar with the matter said.

Ms. Mayer told some attendees that she had fallen asleep, some of the people said.

Very funny, I just read an article about how all of these “successful” executives succeed because they sleep very little. Marissa Mayer was mentioned as one of them. The truth is that most people need 7 to 8 hours of sleep for real restoration.

I agree. I detest Yahoo and what they pretend is a "news" service. I won't mind seeing them collapse.

Their videos and slideshow do not work well. The comments repeatedly show this as a problem. They also are going to that stupid windows 8 tile look with endless scrolling.

From Wiki:

“Mayer is Lutheran, but said, referencing Vince Lombardi’s “Your God, your family and the Green Bay Packers” quote, her priorities are “God, family and Yahoo, except I’m not that religious, so it’s really family and Yahoo.”
