Holder: America Should Be 'Color Brave,' Not Color Blind
National Journal ^ | July 16, 2014 | JERYL BIER

Martin Luther King dreamed that one day his children would "be judged on the basis of the content of their character, not the color of their skin." This week, the current head of the Justice Department said that "given the disparities that still afflict and divide us," that dream will have to wait.

Eric Holder addressed an audience at Howard University Tuesday as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act. After recounting the horrific struggles of the civil rights movement and heroic efforts of many who fought to extend those rights to all races, Holder suggested, as is his wont in such speeches, that "significant challenges remain" and there is "a great deal more to do." He went on:

As it stands, our society is not yet colorblind; nor should it be, given the disparities that still afflict and divide us. We must be color brave and must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities...

Actually Mr. Holder, we should simply be God-loving human beings.

But if you’re the one-in-a-million brave TV reporter who dares to speak truth ... you can expect to get fired!

Come to think of it .. I can't remember zero ever quoting King's; ".. judged on the basis of the content of their character, not the color of their skin."

There apparently are some people/citations that will not be abused.
Meaning .. if zero ever used that quote, he'd be opening himself up to more racist accusations than he can possibly cover up or handle ... holder, too.

...his children would "be judged on the basis of the content of their character, not the color of their skin."

I think he is being so judged and is found to be devoid of all of those traits required of that office. Indeed, he is in way over his head, just like his boss.

We must be color brave

And that means what? Blacks should be able to dominate whites and we must say “thank you”?

Holder has stated he keeps a piece of paper in his wallet and has since 1971.
Is it an uplifting saying or Bible passage?
No.

It’s a passage by a black Reverend that basically says that no matter how high a black man rises or how successful and powerful he becomes white people will always see him as just another n-.

Really.
http://pjmedia.com/jchristianadams/2013/07/12/whats-in-holders-wallet-his-real-race-card/

THAT’s what Eric Holder finds motivating.
THAT is his touchstone to get him through the hard times-
A reason to stay angry. A reminder of how the ‘white man’ thinks.
And, if he is to be believed, it’s been so for 43 years.

Now, knowing this, take another long look at every single decision and statement he has made as AG.

That’s your current Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder.

It will never heal, because for many it will always exist.

For something similar, I worked with a woman who was brilliant, but mentally unstable (she refused her meds). When she didn’t get her way, she would rant and rave in meetings that it was because she was a woman.

It was because either her idea couldn’t work because of money, or because she was a raving lunatic.

Other women told her so, but to her, it will always be because she is a women. She assumes that the only reason you would disagree with her is because of her gender.

For people like Holder it is the same way. Race is the foremost thing for them. Nothing, including a black man holding the highest office in the USA, will ever make them see differently.

The sad thing is by doing this, they have set back true race relations in this country. If the most powerful man in the world and one of his appointed officials start complaining that they are “held back” because of race, then other people start asking some rather un PC questions.

Yes we should be color-brave, Mr. Holder. I’m calling for a group to protest the “War on Whites.” Who’s looking out for me?

Eric Holder and many of his compatriots are the ones who are not color-blind. They constantly drag race into every public discussion. I truly think he longs for the days of Fire hoses, school closings, and Selma Alabama. Mr. Holder, this is the modern world. People are people. It’s your side of the aisle who isn’t ‘color brave’...couching all political opposition as ‘racism.’

Unfortunately, racism will always exist on the thin fringes on political right politics. Butt until folks like you move on, it will exist smack dab in the middle of political left politics and that’s the truth!

We have a black president and a black Attorney General but blacks have no opportunity to succeed.

I see.

Oh really and just who gets to determine that? Who gets to determine what or what isn't 'racist' or 'racism'? Why should blacks perspective be anymore relevant that whites? What a convoluted bunch of crap we find ourselves in.

It’s not that he wants us to be color brave but character blind. He won’t let it be admitted that a part of our society has a character problem relative to the rest of society, and that this is the problem that needs solving. To admit this would require actual bravery and a certain degree of contact with, you know, actual reality, neither of which he possesses as a leftist.

“There is a great deal more to do”

To do what? Ensure that every non-white lives in a mansion and drives a Jag to assuage the hurt of history?

If this mugger didn’t have a grievance scam going he’d be back in an island shantytown where he came from.

We owe him and his buddies nothing. He seems to think that living in the United States is supposed to be one long guilt trip where we spend our lives begging him for forgiveness for what I don’t know, and handing over any cash or goodies he seems to feel he deserves.

Bye, Eric. Move the Zimbabwe if you wanna feel comfy.

You’re free to go, big guy.

Holder is a traitor who spews lies and deceit.

Congress is becoming complicit in Holder’s treachery by refusing to impeach this traitorous vermin.

No Eric, you’re pretending that playing the victim card is preferable to a level playing field, as presented by the content of your character.

Because Eric, by that measure, YOU FAIL!
