House GOP prepares response to border crisis

House Republicans announced Tuesday they will recommend dispatching the National Guard to South Texas and speeding Central American youths back home as their response to the immigration crisis that’s engulfing the border and testing Washington’s ability to respond.

The recommendations, to come from a working group established by House Speaker John Boehner, will set up a clash with leading Democrats who oppose changing U.S. law to eliminate automatic immigration hearings for Central American kids and return them more quickly to Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala, where some areas are overrun by brutal gangs.

With Democrats and the White House under growing pressure from immigration advocates to hold firm against the GOP approach, a solution for the growing crisis of tens of thousands of unaccompanied children showing up at the U.S.-Mexico border is looking increasingly elusive with three weeks left before Congress leaves Washington for an annual August recess. …

The GOP is gun shy and I'm not sure Boehner will follow though given his
track record of kissing Obama' butt.

If Obama doesn't seal the border he's derelict and Congress has an obligation
to bypass him for not performing is sword oath of office. Legally bypass BTW.

Obama will try to issue orders and I have no idea how that works.
I'll figure it out tomorrow, maybe.

The solution to the political problem is to spell out the real immediate problem and then the solution.

The President and his minions are already warping the problem from one of handling and deporting OTMs to letting OTMs go to give them "fair access to due process."

The real problem is not enough people to process these people for deportation. That needs to be on site without transferring illegals all over the country for what is a few hours of processing. The only reason the Administration is moving illegals around is that it is too obvious when you dump thousands in the RGV. Process them locally and send them home on an airplane.

Senator Reid said yesterday that “the border is secure.” This needs to be brought up as many times as possible because a problem cannot be dealt with if the Senate Majority Leader denies that the problem exists. Force Reid’s fellow Democrats in the House to vote on this problem.

PREPARES response????

How about just RESPOND?

All talk no action. Correct action should have been taken years ago. Or how about last week. At this point I would even accept tomorrow.

I would bet my bottom dollar the correct action will not be done in time nor correctly.

Processing? Here’s the process: put them on a bus & return them to Mexico

Flying them around the country is absolute BS.

talk talk talk...blah blah blah

What will the ROEs be? That is what I want to know. Will they tell the NG to just report them to the BP and let them pass?

Will the NG be armed this time? They were not armed in ‘06 except for squad leader and they could only operate off of the border at the Sarita, FAL and Hebronville check points.

Put them ON the border ARMED with real weapons that are loaded.

None of the BS this time. Real engagement, not intervention.

Hell, we were better equipped then they were and we were a civilian group.

Does anyone really believe a GOPe approved response will be any better? We are headed towards full blown amnesty.

I propose that we move the house and senate offices to the border until this crisis is resolved.

We could give harry Reid a fine office, overlooking the border fence, and a fresh staff of illegals everyday.

Harry, get your shriveled up ass down there and demonstrate how much confidence you actually have in that “secure” border!

Even if the GOP in the house pass this, the senate won’t. If the senate does go along, Zero will veto. It does set the Dems up for a womping in November.

How much longer will those who pay income tax continue to enable this administration before they slow sown their work efforts, lower their taxable income by every legal method and lower their spending?

Congress should not be allowed any “recess” until this problem has been addressed and resolved. Everybody gets to stay late in school until the classwork has been done. What the hell is wrong with Washington DC they are acting like this is business as usual while the country is being threatened with bacterial warfare before our eyes and under the heels of a pre-planned invasion brought about by the overt complicity of the governments of Mexico, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. And what—no response to this bald-faced conspiracy? There’s an eight thousand pound elephant in the room but the idiots in DC are all ignoring it. Why are we not taking the fight back to the belligerents south of the border and reversing the millions in foreign aid we send them? Why are we not forbidding Chase and BofA and WellsFargo to continue with their cross border transactions funneling billions of illegal alien dollars back to Mexico? Where is the federal order to the banks to immediately cease these transactions into belligerent states? Instead, the ship of fools only wants to debate the National Guard on our side of the border. Pfffft.

Zero will veto.

Nobody seems to understand that Obama will not have a choice or Veto in this matter.
Congress can BYPASS.. It's called BYPASS, aka Obama cannot stop them and Obama does not get a veto.

And if Reid blocks it then it passes to each State Gov to call up the National Guard.
Which means Texas can, AZ can, and CA can call up their own defenses to close the border.

The way it's going it seems that the States don't give a damn either!
