Federal Judge Peter Messite made his position clear in a court documents. He writes, “the court will refrain from using the team name unless reference is made to a direct quote where the name appears. Pro football’s team will be referred to hereafter simply as the Washington team.”
In the courtroom, Messitte was more blunt. According to a transcript, he told lawyers, “We’re going to call them the Washington team here in this court. Have a local rule that tell us about the way words are used. No need to get into a political issue with you on that. For now, that’s what we’ll call them.”
I don’t think I want to know how many judges in this country have any fidelity to the US Constitution. More than ever they now exist to enforce ideology.
Uh, “Judge”, you’re familiar with the term “recusal”?
I wonder if we should avoid using the word “Jackass” when referring to the judge? Perhaps he should just be called that “Beast of burden” judge.
It would probably be a cause for an appeal.
...and if you recall, Newt caught hell from Republican AGs when he suggested it is long past time to start impeaching judges who have lost sight of their oath.
I’d say the judge has a bias and should be thrown out on his butt.

Here’s the truth of the matter: all this political correctness is deliberate conditioning to get Americans ready to accept restrictions on speech offensive to Muslims and ultimately Sharia Law.
I believe the LBGT community is in for a troubling surprise when they discover the true nature of the societal changes they are working so hard to bring about.
Well the folks who think it doesn’t make any difference if a republican is in office, you get hundreds of these type judges appointed for life. They almost have the Supreme Court. Not to mention the US Attorneys.
Good luck appealing from this ass hat judge, don’t you think there are plenty just like him on the Court of Appeals?
