KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating the discovery of a young woman's body inside a duffel bag in Kensington.
Police say a mam picking through the trash discovered the body of a young woman in a duffle bag next to a vacant home on North 3rd Street near Susquehanna Avenue.
Investigators say the call came in around 5:00 a.m. Monday.
The body of the Hispanic woman, believed to be 23 years old, was in a trash bag inside the duffle bag.
Her arms were bound in the front with duct tape.
"Within the next 24 hours we will find out her identity. The medical examiner's office will find out cause of death and the investigation will go from there," Philadelphia Police Captain James Clark said.
Just two hours before the discovery, homicide detectives say a car was found torched on the 1600 block of Bambrey Street in South Philadelphia behind homes and a warehouse.
Police are trying to figure out if the vehicle belonged to the victim.
Investigators think they have her identification, but they're waiting on relatives to make a positive ID.
On the 2200 block of North 3rd, there are only a couple of businesses.
Neighbors say it's a quiet street.
"We want to make sure what's going on. Honestly, we don't know. We are nervous. The community is nervous at this time," resident Orlando Rosa said.
TSA didn’t find her during the baggage search of the undocumented immigrant flight from the Texas DHS holding center.

Must have been about 50 years ago, since then the people that look like me are cops, firefighters or drug purchasers.
