Adult illegal immigrants posing as unaccompanied alien children appear to be attempting to enroll at public high schools, city officials in Lynn, Mass., tell National Review Online. “Some of them have had gray hair and they’re telling you that they’re 17 years old and they have no documentation,” Jamie Cerulli, the Lynn mayor’s chief of staff, tells NRO. “If my children went to the public schools, I’d be very uncomfortable with all of these unaccompanied minors [that] are placed in the ninth grade.”

this is a little strange. lynn, ma is almost 100% minority, a huge proportion is illegal anyway, so i’m not sure why this even makes a difference. plus, the mayors and city councils of Massachusetts towns bend over and kiss their own butts when it has anything to do with minorities, so i’m scratching my head as to the statement by the spokesman that they feel its a problem.
Don’t you need your parents to register you for school?? And don’t they ask for a birth certificate?
Why would adults want to pretend to be high school students in the first place??? Something does not seem quite right about this.

I doubt that it’s new that young people from hispanic countries pose as children and enroll in schools. Could it be one reason why they have such a high dropout rate?

Now we're more enlightened, and know that it takes a community to raise a child... and kids should see the government as their mommy and daddy (or daddy and daddy).
Besides, if these adult-kids aren't enrolled in school, how are they supposed to get their three free meals a day from the school system?

Free breakfast and lunch, free English classes, maybe finish the final years of school you didn’t in Central America. And lock in the “I’m under 18” alibi for anything you do.
I called the communication director of a local school district that was told it might host 2000 illegal children. I said it was downright dangerous to admit kids with far fewer documents and medical records than I had to generate to enroll my kids. And my kids won’t give the other children TB, MRSA or the swine flu.
Haitians are infamous for being in high school at crazy ages like 21 and above. I think they are trying to learn...is their main reason/ They got minimal school in Haiti so wnat to make it up here.
So your high school girl is in the same class AS an adult Haitian man with an adult physique, an adult looking mustache and other facial hair showing adulthood
