There are a whole bunch of posters on Free Republic -- many of them trolls, obviously -- who join in every Ted Cruz thread to criticize him for not being perfect as far as their standards go. I think he may be the last best hope for our Republic, and we should begin to very earnestly support him for President in 2016. Time seems to be getting very short.

"The Constitution provides that an amendment may be proposed either by the Congress with a two-thirds majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate or by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the State legislatures."Never happen.
Since the 'rats have absolutely no accomplishments to run on -- make that absolutely no positive accomplishments to run on -- they're going to run against the Koch brothers. Good luck! Nobody knows the Koch brothers from the man-in-the-moon, and they won't in November.

How the Court Became Supreme
by Robert Lowry Clinton, FirstThings, January 1999
firstthings.com/article/1999/01/001-how-the-court-became-supremeSadly, since 1954 when we "sold ourselves into slavery" with Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka (Paul Robeson was running around Russia, giving America's 60 Families a black eye, the rest of Congress wouldn't stand up to Dixiecrats to give African-Americans educational equity, so an unelected elite was chosen for the job), this is the first example of the Legislative Branch interpreting the Constitutionand look what we're getting out of it.

One thing I think we all know is when the communists (aka) democrats, propose anything they don’t give up until they get what they want.
Republicans on the other hand sit quietly, passively by and observe and in so many cases, take notes so as to ask dems how they can help. (although on occasion they feign outrage, it is mostly a circus dog and pony show)IMO!
I am thankful for Cruz, and a few others who do all they can to fight both parties on the front lines and in their face.

Text of the proposed amendment(PDF) It gives Congress (who will likely delegate the power to the FEC) the power to regulate how campaign funds (and "in-kind equivalents") are raised, how much funding can be raised, and how it may be spent.
It will mean that Dem incumbents will NEVER be voted out of office.

The original intent of the First Amendment was to protect POLITICAL speech, not obscenity or artistic endeavors. The problem is that the intent of the First Amendment has been inverted by modernist judges.
