Flake Admits Backlash Against Immigration Reform, But Doesn't 'Understand'

In an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Special Report” on Wednesday, Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) discussed the current state of affairs surrounding the issue of immigration.

Flake, the guest of the show’s occasionally occurring “Center Seat” segment, admitted the rise of a populist movement opposing any immigration reform movement that included a version of amnesty. However, he admitted to being perplexed as to why there’s such an opposition stating there’s a need for not only low-skill labor “particularly in the agricultural areas and hospitality areas,” but high-skill labor of “those in the STEM fields.”

Partial transcript as follows:

STEPHEN HAYES, Weekly Standard: You indicated that you're still for comprehensive immigration reform but that nothing can happen in this environment. What do you mean by "in this environment"?

FLAKE: As long as we have crisis like this with kids coming across, you've got to deal with this immediate crisis.

HAYES: Immigration reform wasn't' going to pass before this sort of blew up or before it was on the front pages, was it? Go back three months.

FLAKE: Three months ago we did have a chance. I think the Cantor loss really was the death knell for it. Up until that time I thought we still had a shot at it. But with this crisis, no chance, obviously.

BRET BAIER, host “Special Report”: Jason?

Boobamba at naturalization ceremony.

Nice diversion while I arm the invaders to takeover the SW---
bussing them to key precincts with tax dollars
in exchange for voting Democrat using their multiple identities.

Yet again, the photos show an overwhelming amount of teenage boys not children. Another big lie being spread by the mass media.

FReeper TADSLOS INSIGHTFULLY POSTED: Every bit of this has a political aim......it’s an outright invasion.

A Murietta resident told Breitbart News that the illegals are being deliberately sent to Republican-supporting communities like his city....a vengeful message to those opposed to open borders.

“The Obama administration thinks that if it floods our streets, in small town America, they can force us into immigration reform,” he said. “These immigrants should not be here. The only reason that they are coming here is for political reasons.”

“This is a small town – it’s mostly conservative – and the federal government knows that. The main reason a lot of us are out here protesting is because we do not want these people being dumped into our small town where we do not have programs or the resources to take care of them properly.”......Murietta protesters have been attacked by left-wingers hurling epithets carrying signs reading "you are on stolen land."

VIDEO Gen. Michael Hayden: Treat Immigration Crisis Like Insurgency
Newsmax By Courtney Coren | 09 Jul 2014 12:19 PM / FR Posted by robowombat

GEN HAYDEN: The invasion is an insurgency---"a criminal enterprise that's so big and so powerful that, as a byproduct, it actually threatens the US government."

The only way to describe it......all they need are the guns....they know where the weapons are....and so does Obama. One of their oft-stated goals is to takeback the SW.....a counter-protest sign in Murietta announced "you are on stolen land."

This is being facilitated w/ our tax dollars by The Congressional Hispanic Caucus---Becerra, Guttierez, chief among them....and their allies......it’s a barbarian invasion---the savages have said they want everything we have. They would fundamentally transform America into a Third World....

And the stupid in the WH says its "our" responsibility to feed, medicate and shelter the barbarian hordes who want to destroy us.

On Tuesday, Obama urged Congress to cough up $4 billion to deal with the flood of children from Central America – and others from parts unknown – crossing the border into Texas. Obama called this mess “an urgent humanitarian situation,” but what he did not do is take responsibility for almost single- handedly causing this mess two years prior. Mexico made deal to send more illegal aliens to the U.S
Examiner.com ^ | 7/09/14 | Dave Gibson / FR by blueyon

On Monday, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Guatemalan president Otto Perez Molina held a joint press conference in Playas de Catazaja, Mexico, to officially announce an agreement to make it easier for those making the illegal journey to the United States from Central America, to cross into Mexico.

The Southern Border Program to Improve Passage, will provide for more border checkpoints along Mexico's border with Guatemala, and offer more protection and even emergency medical care to those making their way north. The illegal aliens will receive a so-called Regional Visitor's Card, according to El Universal. (Excerpt) Read more at examiner.com ...

Dear Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) - here's how we see it out here in flyover... First, Hispanic unemployment is sky high now. The businessmen who donate large sums to your war-chest want to HIRE ILLEGALS - people who work for little and are easily bullied.

Think of it as SLAVERY-LITE.

As soon as many of these people become citizens, they join the unemployed and the good citizens of this country are asked to support them with food stamps and disability until they get on their feet.

Are you surprised Hispanics aren't as attractive to employers when they're legal citizens? You can afford to be so magnanimous. You have a cushy job in the Senate. Great benefits. Those of us out here in Flyover don't have as much as you have Senator... but we do pay for your salary. We're asking you to represent us - not your wealthy donors who want cheap labor.

Many Americans are taxed to the hilt now - and we've got kids of our own to support. Kids who have to compete for the high tech jobs your benifactors want to give to foreigners because THEY WORK CHEAPER.

Let me explain: We could hire great administrators from India who could DO YOUR JOB. AND for a lot less money. How about we open the borders to people who will run against you and the rest of the people in congress... and work for half what you're getting? We could save a bundle.

I'm starting to see the benefits now...

Also, as citizens we're tired of being asked to spend tax dollars supporting half of Detroit, Chicago, and Philadelphia AND provide people with endless 'job training' programs (because there are NO jobs) AND to support illegals (because there's too many jobs unfilled). Did it occur to YOU Sen. Jeff Flake that BOTH of those can't be true at the same time? And if you tell me workers from Detroit can't find their way to pick cherries in Michigan but 15 year olds from Mexico can get there, I will call you a fool. Or worse.

I'm tired of paying for lies and/or delusions Senator. And that's the problem... We want you to open your eyes and see the world as it is...not from the viewpoint of an elite with delusions of misplaced grandiosity. But from the viewpoint of an American citizen who has to pay for all this - and knows the country is basically broke...

Hey Jeff, you lunatic, prevent the kids from coming across and you have no immediate crisis.

Just how does allowing children free rein in this country become an asset to this country? Bringing in uneducated, unskilled and not even speaking the language is somehow a good thing! They become a dead weight on the whole country. Welfare, disease and an overload on the system as a whole speaks ill for the future. America as we grew up in is lost.

I voted for McFlake believing his claim to be a conservative. Within weeks of the election, he went hard left and positioned himself deep inside McCain’s rear end. He hasn’t moved since.

There are no words to describe how deeply I loath him. My emails to him have been obscene, as he has contemplated going to war in Syria, being one of 3 senators to support cuts to military retirement - possibly the only retirement fund in the country that was properly funded in advance and that is in the black, and his ongoing support for illegals.

“Put aside the low-skilled side, and I would argue you are going to have need for that as well, particularly in the agricultural areas and hospitality areas. But on the high skill side, my goodness, to not understand that we need more high skilled immigrants, those in the STEM fields, I just don’t understand.”

Really? Maybe companies ought to hire some of the older STEM types. Maybe they shouldn’t write their requirements with an eye on hiring foreign workers. And the low skilled set will get nothing for wages as long as they have to compete with the poor from Central America for jobs!

“I think Americans expect that a party governing ought to be rational, reasonable, and responsible. And I don’t think we have that.”

Great! Echo the DEMOCRAT party line! And this SOB has 4 years left in office minimum! Folks wonder why I don’t want to vote for moderate Republicans, but this SOB ran as a strong conservative - and look at what we got!

GANG OF EIGHT REPUBLICANS JOIN SENATE DEMS TO KILL BORDER SECURITY FENCE

Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL), John McCain (R-AZ), Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ), the four “Gang of Eight” GOP senators, joined Senate Democrats on Tuesday to kill an amendment to their immigration bill that would have required a double-layered fence to be built along the U.S. border with Mexico.

I don’t see as many children as I see teenage and older, boys. Turning that age ‘boys’ loose in any community should alarm everyone.

I saw Flake... and was just disgusted. They think they don’t have to live with these illegals. We do.. and that’s just fine with them. The only way they can get a clue, is to put them on their street... in their daily lives. I haven’t seen any of them dumped at the White House. Those gates work well there.

10,000,000+ UNEMPLOYED AMERICANS
3,100,000+ LONG TERM UNEMPLOYED AMERICANS
7,500.000 INVOLUNTARY PART TIME EMPLOYED AMERICANS
2,000,000 AMERICANS MARGINALLY ATTACHED TO THE WORKFORCE
62.8 CIVILIAN LABOR FORCE PARTICIPATION RATE

Only an idiot would wonder why Americans are angry that the President and Congress are more interested the welfare of ILLEGAL immigrants than of US citizens.

THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY CONSIDERATION OF IMMIGRATION REFORM UNTIL THE AMERICAN LABOR FORCE IS FULLY EMPLOYED.

THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF US CITIZENS MUST BE THE FIRST PRIORITY OF THE US GOVERNMENT.
