Bryan (TX) Waits on Word on Border Youths as Residents Protest Their Potential Arrival

Federal officials have been considering the old Army Reserve Center in Bryan as one of a number of sites to temporarily house youths who have recently crossed the border. Now, protesters are lining up outside the facility to make their opinions known.

Numbering, they say, about a dozen at this time, the group has vowed to stay outside the facility 24/7 as long as there's a question about the Central American children coming to Bryan, young people they say they feel sorry for, but believe should be moved back to their country instead of to here.

"How about we address the problems we have at home for once? How about we actually take care of what's already on our plate without adding a whole lot more to it," said the group's organizer, who did not want to be named. "We've addressed so many humanitarian crises on everybody else's soil that we've neglected the humanitarian crises here."

Bryan Mayor Jason Bienski has stated his displeasure with the idea, although it's largely out of his hands because the facility is currently owned by the federal government.

"As the mayor of Bryan, I don't think it is the City of Bryan's responsibility," he said on "First News at Four" Monday. "It's a federal issue. It could even be a state issue, but this property we've been working on many years to re-purpose."

Even though the city has been looking at options for the building located at Carson Street and Bomber Drive, Bienski says there is a reverter clause in the agreement between the Army and the city that would bring the building back to city control eventually. However, at this time, Bienski questions the condition of the building considering it has been vacant.

The mayor believes the city will hear something from the government this week regarding whether the youths will be brought to the area from the border.

Anybody going to stop the buses when they come there?

And, they aren't "border youths". They're illegal aliens.

Refusal by crybaby House Speaker Boehner to Impeach Obama for failure to secure the Southern Border requires that We, The People take matters into our own hands.

An excellent place to start is for us to “encourage” our local “Independent” School Boards to ban all Spanish Language Public School programs that would, in any way, provide aid and comfort to the Spanish-speaking Illegal Alien Invaders.

Even the Dems admit only about 20% (probably much less) of these ILLEGALS are 'children'.

These so called reporters are liars!

Banning the teaching and speaking of Spanish in Public Schools would expel many Illegal Alien Invaders from US Public Schools, and thus reduce the financial impact to US Taxpayers whose taxes pay for Public Schools.

The failure of the Obama Administration to protect the Citizens of the US from the expenses and job losses caused by the Invasion of Illegal Alien Invaders from Spanish-speaking countries proves that this Obama-caused “Dreamer” Invasion was implemented by Obama to “Fundamentally transform the United States of America.”

These ILLEGALS obviously have more rights than legal citizens do. The Federal government is protecting them with armed guards. No one can get near them to find out anything about their diseases, crimes, etc. And doctors, nurses and local law enforcement are being silenced by threats from the Feds.

Do you think MSM would put up with this under a Republican President?! HELL NO!

Federal officials last week paid $584 to buy four versions of Monopoly, five packs of playing cards, a dozen beanbag tosses and other games for illegal immigrant children — a small fraction of what the Obama administration now says it will take to clothe, feed, transport, house and, yes, entertain the children surging across the border.

Government contractors stand to see a good payday after President Obama submitted a request Tuesday for an additional $3.7 billion this year to cover the costs of handling the illegal immigrant families and, most costly, the unaccompanied children from Central America who are entering the U.S. in record numbers.

ISTOOK: Flying illegals home would be 99.5 percent cheaper than Obama’s plan

“There are significant resources that are required to deal with the situation,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said. “What we would like are some additional resources to make sure that we’re enforcing that law efficiently, both in terms of processing them through the immigration system, but also in terms of repatriating them if it’s found that they don’t have a legal basis for remaining in the country.”

Mr. Obama sent a letter to Congress detailing a request for 2014 alone: $879 million in additional funding to detain and deport illegal immigrant families, $116 million to transport unaccompanied children, and $522 million for more law enforcement both on the border and in Central America.

Mr. Obama also is asking for an additional $1.8 billion for the Health and Human Services Department to be able to house the children while they are awaiting immigration court hearings; $300 million for the State Department try to create better economic and security conditions in Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador; and $64 million for the Justice Department to hire more immigration judges.

Why should we have to borrow money from China to take care of kids not our own?
