The new liberal intolerance. Denying Christians the right publicly to practise their faith
The Conservative Woman ^ | July 7, 2014 | Laura Perrins

The hostility towards Christians is reaching fever pitch in the liberal West. The rights of Christians to practice their faith has come under sustained attack from some liberals, and too often those in positions of power.

The past few weeks the right of Christian parents to educate their children in the Christian faith as protected by Article 8 of the European Convention of Human Rights was placed under sustained attack by liberal columnists, particularly at The Times and The Guardian.

Even though their argument relied on alleged discriminatory practices carried out in non-faith state schools, it seemed Christian faith schools were to blame. The anti-faith school mob’s manipulation of the alleged Trojan horse scandal was as predictable as it was flawed.

This followed the legalisation changing the definition of marriage. On the subject of same sex marriage most reasonable people would think there were coherent arguments from both sides.

But anyone who defended the traditional view of marriage as that being between one man and one woman for the raising of children produced by that union were called ‘bigots’ at the highest level of government and much worse in other quarters.

Are Christians and conservatives

FINALLY

getting it?

Liberalism/leftism has the singular goal of outlawing Christianity. Not “religion”, but CHRISTIANITY.

“Well, Christianity is more than holding beliefs in the privacy of your own mind, house or church. It includes exercising them, such as educating your children in the faith and not acting against your conscience by government fiat.”

Consider this in light of Barack Obama’s repeated statements that the Constitution gives us the right to “worship” as we choose.

The Progressives are okay with Christians going to church once a week as long as we pay whatever form of Jizya tax they levy. It’s our living the faith that they can’t abide.

Screw ‘em. I’m going to use the Obama illegal amnesty approach and just keep on going about my business. If I pray in a government building or restaurant I’ll just say, “hey I’m trying to pray to He who is greater than Allah” to piss them off. If they’re arhiests and there is no god why are they getting so angry? We know why. They are Satan drones and don’t even know it. They aren’rpt even aware of it most ofthe time. They will never stop people from practicing their faith unless people just cave to them.

I don’t think the left “wants” or “likes” Islam, per se -

they just side with them because they seek the same destruction of the Christian influence.

It’s “nice”, to them, that a Islamic country persecutes and kills Christians, because that’s what they want to do.

Ever see a leftist actually express outrage over a Muslim country persecuting Christians?

Islam is a cheap anti-christian “enforcer” for the left. And the left doesn’t realize they have done a deal with the literal devil...

And (many of) the left doesn’t realize they have done a deal with the literal devil...

Some do. Some hate God, Christ, and His people so much that they willingly and openly have turned themselves over to the devil.

One of the comments to the article at the link is excellent:

solly gratia
...There is a direct genealogical line from 19th century modified liberalism, through progressive liberalism to today's 'equality and fairness for everyone except those we disagree with' liberalism. The problem is that, although they like to shout about progressiveness... they have no moral vision of what they are progressing to, only an antipathy to what they are progressing from. Liberalism in theology started as the right to question accepted answers in pursuit of clearer ones, and ended as the right to believe anything you want and still claim it was Christian. Liberalism in politics has followed a similar path. To infinity and beyond!

What "liberals" or "progressives" cannot abide is that God created a universe, we are part of that universe and can only properly operate if we follow the design of the System Developer, and the Developer is way, way bigger and smarter than mere humans. They think they are the only smart ones, and that the scriptures written in the blink of God's eye are now outdated and irrelevant. They are certain they can redesign humanity by passing laws; and if humanity won't knuckle under to those laws, that they are justified in oppressing, jailing or killing. They live for today, for glory in this short life and for their murderous passions. Believers live for eternity and are aware that any hurts they cause will come back to haunt or doom them unless they repent; likewise the good they do will lay up treasure for them in eternity.

Ever notice when Obama speaks on the subject, he always says “freedom of worship”..? It with the same thing as freedom of religion... I can worship all I want in my mind...but can be prevented from practicing my religion...

Yep, the sodomites hate Christianity so much they are willing to team up with the cult who will one day cut their heads off.
