The 10 most corrupt states in the U.S.
Fortune.com ^ | June 10, 2014 | Chris Matthews

New research takes a look at decades of corruption convictions to find the crookedest states in the union.

When we think of government corruption (as one tends to do), our biased minds often gravitate to thoughts of military juntas and third world governments. But, of course, corruption is everywhere, in one form or another. And it’s costing U.S. citizens big time.

A new study from researchers at the University of Hong Kong and Indiana University estimates that corruption on the state level is costing Americans in the 10 most corrupt states an average of $1,308 per year, or 5.2% of those states’ average expenditures per year.

 1. Mississippi
2. Louisiana
3. Tennessee
4. Illinois
5. Pennsylvania
6. Alabama
7. Alaska
8. South Dakota
9. Kentucky
10. Florida

In TN that is MEMPHIS and NASHVILLE, not the rest of the state. They are the biggest nest of DemoRAT crooks in TN, especially the FORD family. Another one just got caught, does not live in the district he represents. henri brooks (femnazi) got caught not living in her district either. Both are still in office.

When I was a youngster I was always amazed that the county supervisors had paved driveways and somehow their roads always seemed to be freshly paved too.

Amazing that.

Given the voting pattern in the last election it would appear that at least a couple counties in the jackson metro area are white liberal run now.

Once upon a time, 40 years or so ago, after a heavy rainstorm my uncle’s road (gravel) washed out completely. One of his kids wasn’t able to get home that night after work in town. Uncle had been after the supervisor to at least regrade the road. To no avail. Uncle told his kid to go stay the the supervisors house (there weren’t any motels there at the time).

Road got paved with a quickness after that.

They do not hold many bonds. They buy short term treasury bills.

They have been disposing of their long term bonds for a while.

Ditto, however the corrupt systems set in place by the ex Governor Rendell should have been more forcibly undone by Corbett.

I am just as outraged as anyone else on this board at what happened in Mississippi. This article is not about Mississippi they’re trying to say those are the 10 top corrupt state based upon convictions of public officials being corrupt in their public official duties azan you give me fifty thousand dollars and I will give you that building permit. This is not about haley Barbour and his shenanigans that is all I’m saying
