The Inconvenient truth about Islamic immigration

With a rapidly growing Muslim population, how will governments in forty or fifty years defend our freedoms? As for "British Values", will Islamic values not then be British values too?

The political and media debate on the alleged Islamist Trojan Horse infiltration of Birmingham schools reveals -- like no other issue regarding Islam in Britain -- a deep and long-held political fear in confronting the truth about the nature of Islam and large-scale Muslim immigration.

That truth -- and it has been a concern of governments for some time -- is that with Britain’s rapidly increasing Muslim population, the teaching of any culturally conservative interpretation of Islam (the bare minimum that any serious Muslim would insist on) is entirely incompatible with the secular, liberal and pluralistic values that define British society, and even perhaps incompatible with the long-term political stability of the country.

In pursuit of the multicultural dream that has dominated Western political culture since the end of the Second World War, the British political class turned a blind eye to this problem.

Even in the Birmingham case, it wasn’t the politicians who decided something was wrong. It was largely media attention to the problem that forced the politicians to take action.

The immediate issue with Birmingham’s Trojan Horse debacle is not the threat of Islamic terrorism, but the threat of an eventual cultural Balkanisation of the country as Muslim demographics increase and Muslims gradually assert their own deeply felt religious identity, particularly in the area of education.

What is happening in Birmingham today (and now Bradford, according to latest reports) will grow as the Muslim population grows. The government is deeply worried about the future, not just the present.

Yet this threat of eventual Balkanisation should come as no surprise.

Critics of heavy immigration and multiculturalism have been pointing out the problem for years, and I have in mind here not only the controversial Enoch Powell but perfectly reasonable types such as Ray Honeyford, hounded out of his job in the Eighties for pointing out what is now happening in Birmingham.

The unsurprising fact about Britain today is that over sixty years of heavy Muslim immigration, with strong help from a liberal agenda of multiculturalism, have resulted in the establishment of separate, some would say antagonistic, cultural identities in many of Britain’s cities.

Given the strength of Britain’s growing Muslim population and the strong demands of the Muslim faith, the inculcation of an Islamic ethos in Birmingham’s largely Muslim schools should come as no surprise.

As the journalist Peter Hitchens said, you cannot welcome large numbers of adherents of a certain religion and then get alarmed and panicky when they practise that religion.

Politicians such as Michael Gove and Theresa May -- with Labour politicians standing on the sidelines pretending to be innocent-- squabbled over who is responsible, as if the problems of Birmingham were a recent surprise event.

The political class know that the issues in Birmingham have a history, a history of vast numbers of unassimilated immigrants that has radically altered the cultural landscape of the country.

Michael Gove’s intervention in Birmingham is an attempt to put right a problem that was sixty years in the making.

Can Mr Gove succeed? The government’s solution to Britain’s almost cultural anarchy is to introduce legislation requiring all schools to “teach British values”.

But what are British values?

This “British values” solution looks very much like the government is in a tailspin and is responding to a very disturbing social development with ad hoc measures, inventing “inclusive” social values that all schools must respect.

But not all schools are the problem. Certain Muslim schools are the problem.

It’s not fully realised that when a government has to impose formal rules to maintain social cohesion, it is an acknowledgement of advanced social fragmentation. When Britain was a culturally homogeneous country there was no need for such legislation.

The salient fact here is that the British political class have never acknowledged the long-term cultural consequences of heavy Muslim immigration. It’s as if there could never be any problem with it; that a rapidly growing Muslim demographic could practise their faith in our accommodating free society while effortlessly slotting into the wider social fabric of British life.

But Birmingham has shown that this is not so.

The separation of boys and girls in class, with girls sitting at the back. Veil wearing. The call to prayer over loudspeakers throughout the school -- all very much the expression of a basic Muslim ethos and all happening in Birmingham.

And with the Muslim population increasing, the government is extremely concerned about the future. The problem is not so much Islamic extremism, but almost any form of conservative Islam in schools.

Why is this? What is it about Islam, and not Christianity or Judaism that puts it on the edge of wider British society?

BBC World at One’s Martha Kearney, discussing the Birmingham schools issue, put the question: “would there be the same fuss if these were Catholic governors?”

That question captures the essence of the problem. Why is a Christian ethos or a Jewish ethos acceptable in schools, but not an Islamic ethos?

The only rational answer, and the only possible justification for Ofsted banning what was going on in those Muslim Birmingham schools (which academically were excellent) is the one given by the straight-talking Allison Pearson of the Daily Telegraph, who boldly stated that our Western values are superior and must be thoroughly defended throughout the country.

Ms Pearson speaks the truth. British values of freedom are superior, and we must be free and proud to say so.

However, with a rapidly growing Muslim population, how will governments in forty or fifty years defend these freedoms when Muslims are a majority or plurality in many of Britain’s towns and cities?

Will Islamic values not then be a major feature of those towns and cities? Will Islamic values not then be British values?

A comment on this:

There are so many Muslims already in the west and especially in the United Kingdom that even if the number of extremists is small from a percentage point of view it still amounts to a very serious threat to our safety [and democracy] long term. Four million and take whatever percentage you like of jihadists in their midst still comes to a huge number of muslims that have British passports and who will support jihad against our way of life as soon as their numbers give them the power to do so. That then brings into question mundane issues like birthrate etc. We lose whatever way you look at it simply because muslims breed like rabbits and we don't..Britain is in denial on this very serious issue and I am not scaremongering. There is no real public debate on a historic event that is transforming the country. Mention of it occasionally surfaces in the media, but the mainstream political class never openly discuss it and when you do you are denounced as a racist..

What is that historic event? By the year 2050, in a mere 37 years, Britain will be a majority Muslim nation.

I’ve heard estimates the “extremists” are 15%. That’s 330 million extremists, or imagine the entire population of the United States. The non-extremists are like lemmings. They will not challenge the extremists and they will agree with them rather than be killed. So, for intents there are 1.5 billion extremists or extremist enablers. Oh, boy.

Thorough history motivated minorities make history because they are willing to go the distance to dominate and intimidate the indifferent masses. Most famous is the case of Lenin's Bolsheviks who numbered around 25, 000 when they staged the October coup and seized the Russian government. Their determination, competence, ruthlessness and zeal acted as a magnet attracting hundreds of thousands of others and terrorizing the masses. Against such a scenario the only and today impossible) scenario that would lead to the defeat for the time being of Islamism would be a war of near extermination such as the US waged on Japan from 1942 to 45. Only if several large nuclear weapons are exploded in or on American cities would this possibly come about . A caveat, after 9-11, which was a Pearl Harbor type event, watching the way the leadership class in the US stumbled around and half assed apologized for the Muslims I think even millions of casualties might not produce a determination to lay Islam low.

Talk won't stop Islam.
What it will come down to for the Infidels and Muslims is who is willing to kill for their beliefs.
So far the Infidels seem clueless to the Islamic threat.
The Muslims have shown they are willing to fight and die for their beliefs.-Tom

The Islamists have the courage of their odious convictions. What do the political elites in the west have, wealth, corruption, a sleepy complacent arrogance, detestation of the rank and file white citizens of their countries. Here is the voice of the Jihad. Who is more likely to win over time:

“British jihadi: I won’t return to UK until black flag flies over Buckingham Palace,” by Raziye Akkoc, the Telegraph, July 4, 2014 (thanks to Thomas Pellow):

A British man who claims he is fighting with jihadists in Syria has said he would not return to the UK until “the black flag of Islam” flies over Buckingham Palace and Downing Street. The man, who called himself Abu Osama, said he had received military training, including how to build bombs and shoot weapons, during his time in Syria. Speaking with a West Yorkshire accent in an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live, he described the 7/7 London bombers as “heroic lions”, claiming “there is nothing in Britain – it is just pure evil”. Osama said he was fighting with the extremist Al-Nusra Front, linked to Al-Qaeda. However the BBC said his claims had not been “officially verified”. The man told presenter Nicky Campbell: “I have no intention of coming back to Britain, because I have come to revive the Islamic Khilafah [the Arabic term for the creation of a caliphate]. “I don’t want to come back to what I have left behind. “If and when I come back to Britain it will be when this Khilafah – this Islamic state – comes to conquer Britain and I come to raise the black flag of Islam over Downing Street, over Buckingham Palace, over Tower Bridge and over Big Ben.”

His comments come after more than 100 imams, from different parts of the faith, urged British Muslims not to go to Syria or Iraq, and to offer assistance from the UK. In the letter, the imams wrote: “Ramadan, the month of mercy, teaches us the value of unity and perseverance and we urge the British Muslim communities to continue the generous and tireless efforts to support all of those affected by the crisis in Syria and unfolding events in Iraq, but to do so from the UK in a safe and responsible way.” One of the signatories of the letter, Imam Qari Muhammad Asim, told BBC Radio 4′s Today programme more than 100 imams across Britain would urge members of their congregation not to go to Syria in Friday prayers.

He condemned the comments made by Osama and said the man had been “completely hijacked”. The imam at Makkah Mosque said: “Radicalisation doesn’t take place overnight – Islam has been hijacked. Social media and the internet plays a huge part in radicalisation and brainwashing.” Why is it so easy to hijack Islam, and why is such hijacking so prevalent? But he added a lot of work had to be done and it was not only the responsibility of the Muslim community and imams, but law enforcement as well. Why? How can British law enforcement prevent Islam from being hijacked?

The man speaking to the BBC said his family initially found it hard to accept his decision “because no mother wants to lose her son” but his family now “understands that this is a good cause I am in”. He added: “”They are a bit scared but I tell them we will meet in the afterlife. This is just a temporary separation. “They said, ‘We understand now what you are doing’, and my mother said, ‘I have sold you to Allah. I don’t want to see you again in this world’.”

In pursuit of the multicultural dream that has dominated Western political culture since the end of the Second World War, the British political class turned a blind eye to this problem.

That is a fact unknown to most, PC and modern liberalism didn't come out of the 1960s, it came out of WWII, there is a pre-WWII Western Civilization, and then the left seems to have emerged from the war with a plan, and with a sympathetic electorate that allowed them almost unfettered legislative disassembly of the foundations that we needed for our continued survival.

The western political class has been comprised of a cultural ship of fools since the post WWII era, ignoring the role of culture as itself foundational in the political philosophy the west sought to promote, and gain respect for, in other societies, as well as ignoring the ability of other cultures to undermine those values when their culture is transported into the west.

I don't care what anyone says, Islam is not a religion. It is a cult of terror. Until people wake up and confront this issue, Europe and the rest of the world is doomed. Bring back the Crusades and play to win.

“Slay the Christian Unbelievers...where you find them”
Quoted from The Koran
Sura 4:89

.
Who are the imbecils in government who let such people into the country when their murderous modus operandi is publicly displayed.

Hey Bill and Megyn, discuss this subject on national TV — it may affect the lives of your very children and loved ones.

In my Fraternity at U of Michigan we had several Muslims mostly from Saudi Arabia.

They behaved exactly like we did: debauched and hedonistic.

I aked Maher what he would do after he graduated and he said he would stay in the USA and NEVER go back to S.A.

What will you do if the Muslims come here? I asked.

Move to Canada he said.

“It is a cult of terror.”

It is a death cult.

Muslimes go to paradise based upon how they DIE.

Christians go to heaven based on how they LIVED.

What is so hard about understanding this simple fact?

All you have to do is look at Syria, Libya, Iraq and other countries to see the west's future (I'll add Egypt)

They were doing just fine with strongarm leaders. The US and our allies have created the situation by deposing their govs and letting Muslims emigrate to countries that don't have strongarm leaders.

Happy to see that some of you are doing the math. I don’t know when they will achieve a political plurality in this country...probably around 2075. Does anyone imagine that the Constitution will mean anything when that happens? Don’t think so.
