McDaniel Unveils Another Strategy Against Thad Cochran
The Daily Caller ^ | June 30, 2014 | Neil Munro

Posted on 06/30/2014 4:50:41 AM PDT by don-o

Volunteers working for tea party challenger Chris McDaniel in Mississippi say they have already found 20 percent of the invalid double-votes they need to cancel Sen. Thad Cochran’s business-funded runoff victory.

“We’re finished with Hinds County, and we’re up to 1,500” invalid votes, said Noel Fritsch, Daniel’s press aide.

That’s critical because McDaniel can force another runoff if he can find more invalid votes than Cochran’s roughly 7,000-vote margin-of-victory on June 24. Votes are invalidated if voters cast ballots in both the Democrats’ June 3 primary and the GOP’s run-off on June 24.

However, McDaniel can also force another election even if he can’t find 7,000 invalid ballots, said Fritsch.

“We don’t have to prove that we have 7,000 [invalid] votes…. all there needs to be is enough doubt about the election, and we’re confident about that,” he said.

That “cancel by doubt” strategy gives the McDaniel campaign an incentive to collect evidence about possible vote-buying and other potentially unethical behavior by Cochran’s campaign.

So far, there are many reports about shady outreach to Democratic voters supposedly undertaken by Cochran and his allies, particularly done by relatives of former Gov. Haley Barbour.

For example, The Daily Caller reported that Henry Barbour, the head of the Mississippi Conservatives PAC and the nephew of Haley Barbour, paid Democratic operative Mitzi Bickers “to make paid calls to potential Cochran supporters.” Those calls may have spurred many loyal Democrats to cast invalid votes.

In the search for improper votes, GOP officials who are affiliated with Cochran’s campaign are trying to block McDaniel’s search for invalidated votes that are recorded in the poll books, Fritsch said.

However, 19,000 absentee voters cast ballots in the GOP run-off, and many of those votes may be improper, say McDaniel’s allies.

It appears from what you have posted that my information was indeed correct - Mississippi does not allow write ins, and it is past the independent filing date.

In order to continue his candidacy, McDaniel must win in court - which is a whole ‘nother kettle of fish.

It seems there are various remedies that could be granted if and when he wins his case:
Re-run the fraudulent run off
Allow an Independent run My McDaniel
Allow a write in ballot.

But all require a court ruling based on McDaniel’s claim of election fraud.

I still believe that people should refer to Senator Cochran as COCKROACH Cochran.

That is very mild name calling compared to what Haley Barbour and Cochran did.

Senator Cochran should realize he needs to retire... And stop bringing the GOP to such great DISGRACE...

What McDaniel might do is demand indictment of the individual fraudulent voter AND the poll official that helped in the crime. He would only have to do that a few times to scare the voter fraud out of Thad’s Black Legions and crooked Democrat poll officials all over the South. Then run a write-in campaign that would beat the Democrats in the race (Cochran and the other guy).

I am not sure who he can get legal advice from, however, I'd love to know if McDaniel's Team is in contact with the likes of Mark Levin's Land Mark Legal Foundation and other Like Minded Organizations to cross all "T's" and dot all " i's " as to do this right, i.e. within the boundaries of their available options and in the proper sequence where as Boehner and Company have done it all wrong with the IRS Scandal....

Meet ... Mitzi Bickers ... Last year, she left her job as a senior adviser to Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed after news surfaced that she had filed a fraudulent financial-disclosure statement.

I guess Senator Cochran and Barbour family had to rely on getting CRIMINAL TYPES involved...

As for me, I think that Senator Cochran cockroached his way through his election..

I have not problem with labeling Cochran and the Barbour group as a bunch of COCKROACHES.

The reason I keep referring to Senator Cochran as a COCKROACH is to try to get that name to stick.

Maybe if it does, then Senator Cochran will realize that it will be best for the GOP for him to retire/resign...

I am hoping that Senator Cochran, for the good of the Party, and for the good of his name, will resign/retire.

This is bad to use this name calling, I admit, but I am hoping folks that might have his ear might let me know that it is time to exit, stage left...

Resign/retire with respect...

He really needs to condemn what the Barbour Family has done, and step out of the picture...

Yeppers, I expected perfection also! And because his managers did not run a perfect campaign, he deserves to be ostracized as being as bad as a Demorat! There all EVIL !!!

Remember that Henry Barbour was part of the Growth and Opportunity Project, and that this clown is helping determine the future direction of the Republican Party. Anyone else think the Tea Party can take over from the inside? Me neither.

BUT, it makes it REAL.

A good percentage of Conservatives need to wake up to the fact that all groups and cultures inside the USA are not committed to doing what is right for the Country as a whole.

Celebrating his “victory”. His cost for his participation in the Cochran campaign in include the loss of his reputation and credibility, but I’m sure the barbours will see this as an attribute and take care of him.

Your information regarding state law is irrelevant.

US Senator is a federal office and thus is subject to federal laws.

Mississippi’s election laws in relation to federal offices don’t matter and they know it. Federal case law is solidly against them in this case.

It is possible (though unlikely to be decided by election) to challenge in court the sore losers law based on the fraud in the election.

Of course, the fraud in the election is the strategy that State Senator Chris McDaniel is using to challenge the election.

What happened in Mississippi is a good reason to throw out the sore losers law -- if the winner uses the opposite party (Democrats to Steal the Election).

If US Senator Thad Cochran did not win using the tactics of the Haley Barbour family, then I would say that the Sore Losers Law is a good thing.

It is a bad thing when fraud and racism is used to steal an election.

How long have you worked for Rove/Barbour/GOPe? Or are you just a low info voter?

To answer your implied question: Why didn’t McDaniel attack Cochran for his support for amnesty like Dave Brat vs Cantor?

Cochran and his handlers may be extremely evil but Cochran does not vote amnesty. Voting history of a senator is easy to look up. Funny you didn’t bother to check. It would have been difficult for McDaniel to make a case for himself by lying in a republican primary. The dems and the GOPe lie to get democrat low info voters to the polls, but when conservatives see desperate, lying politicians, it turns them off.

But then I guess low info, no truth check posters like you would rather work for the enemy than stand up for the truth.
