Remember earlier this past year when the ship full of environmentalists against global warming got trapped in the ice and no one could rescue them for weeks?
Yeah well they’re hoping people won’t remember it either!
But their logic seems to be...
Global warming is SETTLED science. The debate is OVER. Regardless of any other facts, the ice will MELT because of it. Millions will die. Penguins, too.

Going the way of the polar bears, huh? /S

I saw them on an ice floe with a bunch of starving Polar bears.

The report is in the Nature Climate Change, would one normally expect an optimistic article on climate change in such a publication?

BTW, having seen "March of the Penguins" and how they survive (barely) months of wind and frigid temperatures, not sure how warming is going to be detrimental to the emperors.
I think the writer is counting on not many people being aware of just how close to death they become as part of their natural breeding cycle. More ice could put the females a day or two further from returning to the males and young which could be enough to wipe out an entire flock.

Another fine opinion from the, “I hope the sky is falling” crowd.
Idiots one and all...
Can’t predict the weather accurately seven days in advance, and yet they know all about 2100.
Ah no...

Yeah, just wait around for a 100 years and we will admit we were wrong then.

Yup, the warmers are 100% bass ackwards as usual. The usual extent of Antarctic sea ice NOW will probably lower Emperor Penguin numbers. I wonder if human activity (icebreakers) might not mitigate that somewhat. However the species has likely survived worse winters before we were ever there to witness them, so probably can take this as well.

Climate change is a HOAX. It was invented in the former Soviet Union as a means for spreading communism and discrediting capitalism. Al Gore brought the idea to America after joining the Communist Party USA back in the early 90s.
Fact is, fossil fuels are not “fossils.” They are created deep in the Earth in a process science does not understand. There is plenty of evidence that it’s a supernatural process. But I am open to the idea that it might be explainable someday.
But the undeniable truth is that coal, oil and natural gas are parts of the world as designed by God. The Almighty puts it there so that we can use it. If we reject that gift, we reject the plan God has for us.
