Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said in Damascus on Saturday that his country “will not remain passive” as jihadists push an offensive in Syria’s neighbor Iraq.

“Russia will not remain passive to the attempts by some groups to spread terrorism in the region,” Ryabkov told journalists after meeting with President Bashar al-Assad.

Sunni militants, led by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) which is active in both Syria and Iraq, have seized vast territory north and west of Baghdad since launching their offensive two weeks ago.

The Chechens have been flooding that area, and Putie hates them and the other Islam serial killers.

He can accomplish a lot of goals by helping to wipe out the ISIS serial killers and their Chechenian and other Islamic buddies flooding that area for their Jihad.

"It’s a different kind of World Cup tournament.

Jerusalem is the final prize.
"

That's the way the nations of idolators of various types and shadows increasingly see it.

"< reality mode >How powerful would Putin be if he could cut off everyone's oil as well as their gas? "

We should be helping to improve the Canol Road and much more. Our leaders should be getting on their knees to Harper to let the oil flow through the Keystone XL and much more.

Well, I do hope Russia and Assad run them all out of Syria! Israel could handle Assad all right, but an al Qaeda Syria would be a nightmare for Israel.

I bet Obama will oppose any effort at Russian intervention.

I doubt Putin will lose much sleep over it.

I remember back in the 80s when diplomats were being snatched left and right in Lebanon, someone made the mistake of grabbing some Russians. The KGB kidnapped some of the kidnappers relatives and sent some body parts to them, with the promise of more to follow. The Russians were released, and nobody kidnapped any Russians again.

According to foreign news sources Putin has offered Maliki total support...

I guess we might learn what Putin means as it's reported that Iraq has launched some counterattacks against ISIS today. We'll see if any Russian support materializes.

But idiot Obama, by doing nothing meaningful, has sure given Russia an entre into that area through both Syria and Iraq.

The Russians won’t wait for terrorists to take over the middle east.

Obama won’t wait for congress to pass immigration reform.

Fatima and Medjugore are all about Russia. And Russia is all about getting ready for a nuke strike both ways.

The average Russian thinks that Alaska should be part of Russia. Read the blogs. The Russian Govt is flush with petro cash and wants to duplicate their efforts in North America. Russia is drilling to take a nuke strike while they take out the east coast, the west coast and major metro areas every where else.

The Russian Orthodox Church is blessing holy warriors with every graduating class from a military academy. Putin has christian religious visions and sees Russia as the next owner of the mantle of Christian Civilization. The writing is on the wall.

These are the people that survived Chernobyl and learned from it.

If Israel gets nuked we are next.

Israel will not get nuked. It would make God a liar (biblical prophesy). The US may very well, or we will implode like Rome (more likely).

The Russians will more likely watch us implode, seeing how we are plummeting at an increasing speed. They don't need to risk their cities.

They are however, very concerned about the crapastan countries to the south. Particularly around Sochi.

The Russians and Chinese are NOT afraid to go nuclear on the Islamic hoard. It is also partially the reason Iran is building nuclear weapons itself (and why it is not so much of a concern anymore at this point).
