All this subterfuge and maneuvering to keep a guy in Washington who by all accounts is certified to hide his own Easter eggs.

In hope that McDaniel runs as an independent write in candidate.

This pretty much confirms that the Republicans are not an opposition party. They are just the GOP-wing of the Democrat party.

It's time for an opposition party.

More than any other election outcome coming up in November, my number-one hope and desire is that disgusting bastard Cochran loses.

For a GOP-er to actually court and scare up black Dem votes by saying Thad will “protect Obama” and “protect welfare” from “racist” tea-partiers, is as low as it gets. This, from a bloomin’ Republican! Damn these scumbags to the darkest and hottest corners of hell. These people are every bit an enemy as the marxist Dems.

I disagree about McDaniel needing to be “graceful” toward Cochran. By playing nice, McDaniel will damage his own image of fighting for his constituents - in this case, Republican voters in a putatively republican primary.

This primary shows a troubling symptom of the disease being promulgated by the GOPe.

A write-in candidacy would be meaningless. Even if he received enough votes to win, the election laws in MS allow write-ins only if one of the previous nominees died or withdrew.

Makes it even better.

Sometimes the ONLY way to get somebody’s attention is to hit over the head with a 2 X 4.

Rove and McCain are indeed smiling today. They will smile even more if McDaniel loses a suit or if Cochran is re-elected.

The ONLY way to wipe that smile off their damn faces is to teach them consequences have actions, vote for the Dem and make them loose this seat.

THAT sends a message.

Boss Hog Barbour should have switched parties years ago. The draft-dodging, pudgy old democrat wannabe. He makes me sick.
Put on the appearance of being a conservative when he’s nothing in the world but a big government Washington insider.
My St. Bernard when he’s hungry is more conservative than Boss Hog and Porky Pig Rove.

There is NO reason to be graceful to thugs like McCain, Rove and Barbour.

They will treat McDaniel with the same hostility they treated Palin, Cruz, etc. They are every bit as elitist and arrogant and liberal as their Democrat counterparts.

That pretty much says it. The corruption unites them.

I would have felt better if Cochran had retired and not run for reelection. He’s been in Washington too long and his age is beginning to show. I think if the Miss. Republicans want to control their own destiny, they need to change the rules and make their primary closed to all but Registered Republicans.

It's not enforcible, but Mississippi election law says a voter in a primary must intend to vote for the party's candidate in the general. Mississippi Code Section 23-15-575

The nitwits in the GOP didn't just "let this happen," they enticed Democrats to vote "illegally" so the establishment GOP guy would win the primary.

“We don’t leave our people on the field.”

(1) The republican party did that to republican voters.

(2) I don’t like this clown comparing thad Cochran to one of our military personnel being left in the battle field. Thad is not worthy.

Shouldn’t this be a rather simple matter to investigate? Couldn’t the McDaniel people request a list of all Democrats who voted in the Primary, and compare it with a list of all Democrats who voted in the runoff? With a team of volunteers, the 25,000 to 35,000 Democrat voters who voted in the runoff could be checked in just a couple of days.

Let’s see if they are still smiling after the general elections in November.
There could be some surprises coming in MS and KY.
